When we both arrived at A.U. It was the same as always, just people being people. Even rubbing in their new abilities in sometimes face.
I look at Evelyn who tagged along with me, about to start some small talk until I noticed a fearful look on her face.
"Evelyn... Are you okay?" I ask
"Yeah, I'm just a little worried about something."
"About what? You don't have to tell me?" Evelyn looked at me with this 'a bitch is here'
"Chloe." She said and I scoffed, just when I thought I was done with that bitch! She essentially tried to steal my identity from me and what was worse that she was actually in Electronic Center.
"Seriously? My so-called girlfriend?!" I frustratedly said to her. I never wanted to hear her name again after all the shit she did to me.

Me and Evelyn were just hanging out during recess when she looked at me.
"Hey Ultra... There's something I wanna give you." She replies. "Extend your hand love." I do what she says and she puts something on my wrist. Looks like a... Grappling Hook...
"Since you haven't mastered your flight yet. Why not use this in the meantime? It could help you in getting around the cityscape." "Thanks Evelyn, I'll sure make use of this." I smiled happily, the bell went off but we were both in different classes, while I was on my way. I received a text message from a number I didn't recognise.

Oh right. Max gave me your number. Anyway, one more thing I forgot to say. Phil's planning on more gadgets for you to use whenever you need to. Do you have his number?
I think he gave me it when I was about to leave.
Just message him whenever you can. He'll most likely ask you about the gadgets himself. The one I gave you is a UTILITY gadget. But you can also use that thing defensively or offensively. I'll tell you what I mean later in the training simulation

I turn off my phone and look on my gadget Evelyn gave me. It's looks like to be attachable to other gadgets, I take off the grappling attachment and it was just a alloy ring with an attachment point on it. Looks like I can switch between gadgets with these.
I reapply the gadget I had on earlier. As I was about to put the Gadgets down onto my notebook, my gadget had already loaded it on. I notice there was a long range radio. Probably even longer than long range...
From the looks of it the Fz was set to 125 and I was set to mute by default. I'm guessing it's to prevent me getting compromised by a rival faction. Evelyn was muted as well

Dairy Record: Gadgets - From what I can figure out, it looks like the Gadgets are wrist applied and only work through an attachment point on the top of my wrist. They even come with a LRR and a holographic screen so I can read my past ones and even scan shit for AI to generate.
I'm heading up the stairs. Evelyn told me that the training room was on the first floor. Very convenient and why is there a gravity room on the first floor. The freaking gravity room will just probably make the machine heavier and who knows what could happen...
When I get up there, I see a pretty blondie waiting for me, with my grappling hook gadget equipped.
"Hey Ultra. Looks like you've gotten used to the gadget already... Now like I said. The grappling hook can also be used offensively. I'll show you what I mean." Evelyn replies after walking into the training room and it just looked like we were in another place. It was definitely not America. It was somewhere in the desert.
"This is where the rest of us train our powers. But in your case. Your here to test out your gadget... Oh wait a second I don't think you know how to use it. Aim that in the direction you want and clench your fist." She tells me.
I look and see a floating platform and aim for that. I clench my fist and a blue beam fires from the gadget and it strikes the bottom of the platform. "Here we're things'll get complicated. When it hits something and it attracted to something, it'll flash light blue for a sec, gray for if you hit a non-living being. Pull your arm back if you want to pull your attached object closer to you. Otherwise just point at it and you'll go to it. Give it a shot. Oh and un-clench your fist to release the beam."
I point at the platform and I zoom towards it, Damn the things fast. I unclench my fist as it disappears. I ended up approaching a wall at like Mach 1. I peform a wall-jump and grapple onto the platform again, gaining some insane altitude. I then release the beam and do a flip. Only using my powers to slow my decent down to the ground.
I definitely deserve style points for that. Bet even Batman can't do something like that.

Later on near the end of the day. I almost remembered. The Clubs. I go over to the club board and I see a lot of other clubs and not just 'Hero Freaks'. There were all sorts of clubs, animation, dark arts, protection... It's just ridiculous really.
"Still thinking of joining that Club Ultra?" Evelyn asks and I absolutely shit myself
"Gah...! Fucking hell Evelyn...?!" I scold out not on purpose but on accident. "Sorry love." "It's okay Evelyn. I kind of apologise too for blowing up in your face like that."
Evelyn and I look at the board. "Still taking an interest over all the other clubs right? You don't have to join the Hero Freaks Ultra... I just want what's best for you..." She says cutely. "Thanks Evelyn." I reply before kissing her forehead "No biggie 'Lightning'."
"Lightning" Well that certainly was new. Then again my powers were based of speed and a lightning bolt is fast.
