Hey, so good news is I've been looking round the isle for a good while and haven't found the gemstone itself, but I do have a good idea on where it could be. Bad news is...its with some less desirable people.
Rocket grunt 1: "The entrance isn't opening, these walls can't budge!"
Rocket grunt 2: "Did you seriously forget to bring the rock smash tm?! That was our key in!"
Team rocket, because of course. Two grunts were standing outside a closed off corner of the mountain with a large indent on the wall next to them.
Me: "Hey! What are you doing here?! How are you doing here, Team Rocket dispanded a few days ago!"
Rocket grunt 2: "AH shoot we've been spotted!"
Rocket grunt 1: "Quickly battle him, we must preserve the hole!"
Rocket grunt 2: "What do ya mean battle him, he's the pokemon champion. It would be a better plan to jump off the cliff."
Rocket grunt 1: "I like how you think!"
And so one grabbed another and they both leaped off into the distance, never to be heard again...huh, well I guess now I can inspect the hole in the wall.
Amythest/Golem helps out to bust open the wall for us where there was a tight red cave pathway. In there it was especially hot and the fact I had to sort of shimme my way through the passage wasnt helping. Coming towards the end of the cave I found a few more open spaces, items and...whatever this is

Until...woah, I found the Red gemstone, neat.
Well that seemed...suspiciously easy. Anyways, gemstone I hand we head back to the...wait a minute...now that I think about it Jeff didn't really give us a location to meet him at, we just kinda seperated. Which wouldn't be a problem if we had some sort of phone but eh. We'll just look through a few Islands, I'll write back once I find him.
Hey its me again, so I just looked through like...i don't even know how many islands for this man and I still can't find him. I just got to island four and- Oh hey look there he is! Just outside another cave...crying...with a random woman?
Lorelei: "Aww sweetie, are you hurt?"
Jeff: #Sniff *snivel* "Y-yeah."
Lorelei: "Aww you poor thing, which way did the mean Rocket grunts who hurt you go?"
Jeff: "There" *sniff*
Me: "Wha- Jeff? Elite four trainer Lorelei?"
Jeff was on floor covered in dirt, glasses steamed up and a nose bleed right outside the cave and for some reason he had Elite four Lorelei leaning over him like she was a medic. After she realised I was with them she immediately got up from her...suspicious position and nervously started explain.
