The Storm.

Komaru's POV:

It's been a week since me and Toko confessed our feelings together. I informed Syo and she made sure to buy a few... items. Just incase. I have no idea when the time will come but I'm n-

I hear strong wind hit against the window. Toko was still asleep and cuddled up next to me, not budging at the loud wind. A few minutes passed and it starts to get worse. Heavy rain started hitting the building.

"Toko, wake up. Toko!" I shook her gently and she slowly woke up.

"W-What..? Why did y-you wake me up.?" She groans and stretches, jumping as soon as she heard a strike of lightning hit the ground.

She held onto me, confused and nervous. "We should go downstairs.." I say. We both grab everything we need and head to our downstairs bathroom. The storm got worse over time and hit the building harder.

"I-I'm gonna peak outside." Toko said.

"No, no, no! Let me. Just stay in here." I say and get up, opening the front door. As soon as it opened, it slammed. "Shit." I decide to look out the window.

There was so much wind that debree was flying down the street.

"God dammit.." Garbage cans that were on the sidewalks feel over and landed in other peoples yards. I decide to go back into the bathroom. "W-W-What's ha-happening?!" Toko ask's nervously.

"It's strong wind and rain, theres debree in the streets and garbage cans going everywhere. it's best to just stay here. I need to check if everyone in the area is okay." I say.

I open my arms as I sit on the bathroom floor, letting Toko crawl in them. She snuggles into me and I hold her close as the wind shakes the closed door. "It'll be alright, Toko." I tell her.

"I hope so" She responds. I message Makoto, Aoi, Byakuya, Sayaka, Leon, Mukuro, Mondo, Kiyotaka, and others to see if they're doing okay. Suddenly, the lights go off and we hear a beep.

"H-HOLY SHIT?!" Toko yells as it goes dark. "Sweetheart, it's okay. I've got you. You're gonna be just fine." I say.
She holds onto me tightly as I hold her. The lights come back on and she calms down more.

"See, the powers back on. I told you it would be fine." I get a message from Makoto as soon as it comes back on.

I put my phone down and hold Toko even closer. "I-It's cold as s-shit in here.." She says as she shivers. "Do you need me to go grab a blanket?" I ask. She nods and I get up, going into the living room and grab the blanket.

I come back into the bathroom and I wrap her in it. She shakes in nervousness and from how could she was. I sit her in my lap and stroke her hair. "It's okay, my love."

Makoto's POV:

Byakuya comes back with some waterbottles and a few blankets. "Thanks." I put the waterbottles on the sink counter and wrap myself in the blanket. He stands there quietly.
"Aren't you going to sit down?" I ask.

"What? No, of course not. I'm not going to sit on that nasty floor." He says with a stern voice. I pout as he lights a few candles and continues to stand. "How long do you think the power will be out?" I ask.

"Hopefully not for long, shouldn't be more than a couple of hours. At the least, 1 hour." He said.

"What happens if it never turns on?" I fidget with my hair nervously. "Are you stupid, Naegi? It'll come back on. This isn't a zombie apocolypse!" He slightly yelled at me. He saw that I started pouting and hesitantly sat down next to me.

"It'll be on soon. I'm sorry for raising my voice." He rubbed my back slowly. I smiled and hugged him close. "I feel better about this situation because I have you!"

He smiled slightly. "Good."
