Christmas Eve
"Stop moving."
"This shit hurtin' Koko."
"Don't you want to be pretty?"
"Pretty for who?"
"Your hoes."
"Stop sayin' that shit. You kno' I jus' want you."
"You can say it, but you still have fangirls."
"I don't have fangirls."
"I was your fangirl, I know you're well aware of that screen-share by now."
"Right, butchu my girl now, so why I gotta be pretty for them?"
No. The two were not official. They were still friends, but Duke swore they were together.
"Okay, then be pretty for me?"
That was all she had to say, and he stopped moving.
The pair was in the bathroom, Kailani sitting on the countertop, with Duke in-between her legs, as she plucked his eyebrows - well, the eyebrows that he did have, that were out of place.
"You gon let me do your eyebrows when you done?"
She laughed.
"You're joking. Right?"
"You're making me sit through this shit. Why can't you?"
"Boy, do you see a single hair that needs plucked on my face?"
"No?"
"Then what are you going to be plucking?"
"Ion even know. Probably gonna fuck yo shit up." He rubbed his thumbs over her eyebrows.
"Yeah, then my face wouldn't be pretty anymore. Then you'll appreciate your fangirls."
"I'a fuck yo shit up so nobody else wants you."
"And I'm sitting here making yours look pretty, so everyone wants you."
"I don't want everyone. I forreal want you."
She smiled, "I know." Duke never failed to let her know that he only wanted her, and nobody else. She heard it at-least 3 times a day.
She spent the next five minutes finishing his eyebrows, before turning to her left, and grabbing a face mask.
"Can we do this?"
"What the hell is that?" He took the bottle out of her hand, squinting his eyes as he read the bottle.
"You can do it, ion need it." He shrugged.
"Why do you not need it?"
"You see any pimples on my skin?"
"But you still have pores." She said in a 'duh' tone.
He sighed, thinking for a moment, before running a hand down his face, "Okay."
She smiled, opening the bottle, before putting some onto her fingers, and rubbing it on his face. After it made contact with his skin, he jolted his head back, as she laughed.
"Why this shit so cold?"
"I don't know. You'll live." She grabbed the back of his neck with the hand that didn't have the mask on it, and pulled his head back towards her, continuing to put the face mask on.
