2 weeks later

Three weeks.

It's been three weeks since she has talked to Duke.

It's been three weeks of trying to forget about it, so she could move on.

It's been three weeks of constant questioning of herself. She couldn't wrap her head around it.

Why did he do it?

What did she do wrong?

Who was the girl?

What differentiated the other girl and her?

She didn't understand why. And she wanted to understand. But she didn't have the faith in herself to be able to look at him - and not break down. Every time she even saw a picture of him, she remembered all of the wasted time she spent on him.

"Bitch stop thinking about his stupid ass. He doesn't even deserve you. Pulling this shit on you." She told herself as she ran a hand down her face, standing up from her bed.

She had just taken a nap, and she hadn't checked her phone all day. And it was now almost 8 p.m. She didn't exactly remember where her phone was, but if she looked around well enough, she'd find it sooner or later.

Walking out of her bedroom, and into her living room, she glanced around the room trying to find her phone. She looked at the coffee table, not seeing it. She looked at the cushions on the sectional, still not finding it.

Making her way into her kitchen she glanced to the island, not seeing anything. The only thing that sat on the island was her vase, occupied by a bouquet of flowers.

She didn't buy the flowers. But Duke did. He had been sending her a bunch of stuff since everything went down, but she just didn't know how to handle the situation, so she hasn't talked to him.

She looked around the rest of the kitchen, finding her phone charging by the toaster. She walked over to it, picking it up, and saw the multiple unread messages.

She awnsered all of the unread messages, before going to the nearest bathroom to make herself look presentable

She awnsered all of the unread messages, before going to the nearest bathroom to make herself look presentable.

She walked back into the kitchen to pick her phone back up, hitting the six digit code in, to unlock her phone. When she unlocked it, she went to the FaceTime app, and hitting the most recent caller. Polo.

Yes. It's been three weeks since she's talked to Duke. But it's also been two weeks since she's met Taurus.

The two had become friends, and they hung out every once in a while. Their friendship was like a normal one, he would flirt with her, and she'd ignore it.

After two rings, Taurus awnsered the phone. When the call connected, Kailani was met with Taurus sitting at a table, smiling at the camera.

"Aww shit, lil folks done called ma phone."
