From the outside looking in you could say the concert went off without a hitch.
From the inside looking out you could see the cracks.Jisoo had come to Paris early for a Dior event, then met up with Lisa for dinner and a talk.
They talked about the incident, Lisa's insecurities, their relationships and some of their future plans.
They also discussed all the current hate Lisa was getting from supposed kpop fans. It was over the top.
Jennie had tried to distract them and take some of it on by making a few simple instagram posts. Her plan succeeded getting her more hate, but it didn't seem to lessen any of Lisa's.
Looked like there was more than enough hate and jealousy to go around.
Sometimes it made the girls wonder if any of this was still worth it.
They had enough money and many other offers and now, even though they were still working things out, they knew they had each other. Whether they were Blackpink or not.
Sure they would miss the energy and thrill of being on stage, but not the emotional exhaustion or physical wear and tear on their bodies. And definitely not all the social media venom and toxicity.
Then there were the real fans, their Blinks. That is why they continue to do all this in the first place.
But fading into the background and letting someone else take over the spotlight sounded so much easier right now.
They could do the odd charity or special concert but move on to other goals and dreams they still had. Maybe move somewhere where they could have more privacy. Become more invincible again.
It would be easy, all they had to do was not sign a new contract.
That hadn't even been a thought in their heads at this point last year, now it was a real possibility.
