I hear the doorbell ring and I get up. I open the door and see Nicki holding Simba.
"You need to control that friend of yours." Nicki says handing Simba to me.
"Y/n didn't pick him up?" I ask petting him.
"No! She told me she was on her way 2 hours ago and never showed up." Nicki says.
"That's weird." I say.
"If she ditched her dog for a hookup-" Nicki says.
"No, she told me she and Hailee were done for good. Did you go by her house?" I say.
"Yeah and her nosy ass neighbor said she hadn't made it home yet." Nicki says.
Naomi walks to the door and Nicki stares at her.
"Are you his wife?" Nicki asks.
"Yes." Naomi says.
"You are so beautiful." Nicki says.
"Haha, thank you." Naomi says.
"The hospital's calling." Naomi says handing my phone to me.
I walk away and answer the phone.
"Hello." I say.
"Is this... Grant Wolfe?" The woman asks.
"Yes." I say.
"You're an emergency contact for Y/n Y/l/n-" The woman says.
"Oh my god, what happened?" I ask.
"Paramedics brought her in a little over an hour ago, a witness said she was hit by a drunk driver. She's in ICU, we need permission to do her surgery." She says.
"Yes, of course. Can I come and see her?" I say.
"Certainly but she might be in surgery when you arrive." She says.
"That's fine. I'm on my way." I say.
I hang up and sigh.
"Y/n got hit by a car." I say.
"What?!" Nicki asks.
"A drunk driver hit her." I say.
"Oh my god." Naomi says.
"She's about to go into surgery so I'm gonna go to the hospital." I say.
"Let's go, I wanna make sure she's okay too." Nicki says.
"Be careful." Naomi says as I hand Simba to her.
We leave and get in Nicki's car.
"Who are you calling?" Nicki asks as I dial a number.
"Hailee." I say.
"I thought you said they were done." Nicki says.
"Y/n would want her there. I know she would." I say putting the phone up to my ear.
