Y/n's View; 8 Years Later...

"Earlier today, Hailee Steinfeld posted an update on her pregnancy. The star announced she was expecting her 3rd child with her husband, Vincent Giovanni, a few months ago. The couple recently celebrated their 7 year wedding anniversary." The news anchor says.

I mumble and turn the TV off.

I stopped speaking to Hailee entirely and that's when everything changed. I was fine for a week after I came back from Paris but then I realized I wasn't fine. I needed her in my life, but she already had a boyfriend.

I became an alcoholic and didn't want to make music at all. Grant got upset with me and we got into an argument. We fell out and 5Star was no more.

Rumors about Hailee using me picked up again and Hailee needed a plan. Because the entire population of earth knew I was in rehab recovering, she used that to her advantage. She made a song saying I was an alcoholic throughout our entire relationship and that I didn't care about her behind closed doors.

She used my addiction as leverage to boost herself up, once again. And of course everyone believed her because Grant had told everyone the reason we weren't making music anymore was because I was an alcoholic. It definitely didn't help that our debut album had a song called 'Sober'.

"I know that I'll regret this when I'm sober. But every shot, I'm getting closer, getting closer, getting closer." I sing.

There was a huge hate-train coming my way and I had to go everywhere with a body guard because I kept getting threatened. She never told people to stop harassing me for something I didn't do. I no longer wanted to protect Hailee so I aired all of our business out.

But of course no one completely believed me because they didn't understand why I was just now calling her out. There was a whole "war" on Twitter and everyone picked sides. I remember 3 different Stan accounts deactivating because they didn't wanna pick who to believe.

I took a break for a year and came back completely independent. And I definitely bounced back. I was doing way better as a solo artist than I did as a duo. And I didn't have to give anyone a cut. Not Grant, not Nicki, not my manager - no one.

Only downside of all of this is that I'm living in a big ass house all alone. Well, I still have Simba, but I'm all alone. I haven't dated anyone since Hailee. I had that hookup in Paris but that clearly didn't go anywhere.

"There's a really big problem." Cindy says.

"What now?" I ask.

"There are rumors that Netflix wants to film a movie called Attention. Guess what it's about. You and Y/n's relationship. They want Y/n to star in it because who knows the story better than her. If this movie comes out, you can say goodbye to your career." Cindy says.

"Y/n hasn't accepted the deal and they won't go through with it if she doesn't wanna do it. You gotta convince her not to." Cindy says.

"I'm not begging my ex-girlfriend to-" I say.

"Do I need to remind you of the decrease in monthly listeners you lost after Y/n told her side of the story? It'll be even worse when people use their brains and realize it actually happened." Cindy says.

"Fine." I say.
