I hissed in pain as the asshole who defied me bit down on my neck, drawing blood up through the tough skin once more. Once, I was done with him, he was going to be sorry, I mentally promised. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and saw a bright white wolf and a medium wolf come out of a nearby bush. My ears perked up in confusion at what Hermione was doing with Ginny Potter.

I had a lot of blood on me, both Weasley's and mine, and I felt light headed at the loss of blood. I growled and tilted my head so I could bite down on his paw. Weasley let go of my neck but I held onto his paw. He then bit down on my muzzle and I knew I was going to have scars on myself from that. As Alpha I could heal my wounds quicker but these I would not be able to. His bite made me let go of his paw but he held onto me and pushed me to the ground. When had Weasley gotten this good at fighting? I so badly wanted to say a couple of snide marks at the asshole but I couldn't due to Hermione's rules. So, I just lay down and waited for the pain to go away, knowing I couldn't do anything.

I begged in my mind to Hermione over and over again. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I was losing the fight...

"Draco!" I heard her scream in my mind but only to me.

"Stop, Ron!" I heard her voice and Weasley let go of me.

"You do not order me, Hermione!" he growled at her, my blood dripping from his mouth, and stalked towards her. I slowly got up feeling myself heal quickly and growled lowly in a way that would make any wolf not come near what I was protecting. I was acting out of instinct now, my wolf taking over my body. I could usually tell what my wolf wants but part of me wasn't sure what I was protecting.

"I am your Luna, Ronald!" she growled at him and snapped at him too making him back away for a moment.

"I've won, Hermione," Weasley chuckled before gaining his courage and taking a careful step toward her, "And I will make you mine."

Something snapped inside me, my strength returned full blast, and I lunged forward slamming into Weasley's side. He hit the ground with a loud 'Umph!' Hermione lowered herself to the ground and I could hear small whimpers from her. It made my heart reach out for her. I walked over to her and stood on top of her, her head between my front legs. I growled at Weasley who was getting up. He would not have her, I promised in my mind and I echoed it verbally.

"You will not have her!" I growled. Weasley walked over to me and looked between the wolf underneath me and myself as if he was deciding who to kill first.

"Ron!" I heard Ginny beg her idiotic brother while I continued to growl at the red wolf, "Don't! You can't!"

"And why not?" Weasley snapped at his sister.

"Because," Ginny looked at Hermione who was still underneath me and she shook gently. I felt her pain and anger and sadness and happiness at the same time. I crouched low, my body brushing against hers which seemed to calm her down, "Luna has found her mate!" she announced. I felt anger throw through me and I knew it was jealously. That was when I realized who my mate was and who Hermione's mate was.

"Guys?" I heard Bill come over from the rest of his family. Bill was a large grey wolf and since he was older, he didn't participate in the things, along with Remus, that the younger wolves, like us, did, "It's time."

I felt the sun as it rose above the horizon and a new day began. Everyone turned and watched as the sun rose. The dark sky was streaked with pale pinks and blues and yellows and purples. It was new day, a new beginning, and I knew that I was never going to be the same again.
