Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy took off of work for the next couple weeks, giving their apologies to the Minister himself who understood their situation and allowed them to have pay for the weeks they couldn't come to work. They stayed at Grimmauld Place, keeping a watchful eye on their pack as the members came and went from work and shopping. The kitchen was always full of a delicious, variety of foods, but it never lasted long. Their werewolf bodies took in so much food on a daily business, it was sometimes hard to catch up with their metabolism.

Diagon Alley was becoming more and more dangerous as the days wore on. Their heightened scenes could smell and sense Death Eaters around them all the time, but they could never physically see where they were. Today, Hermione and Draco had sent Luna Lovegood and Ginny Weasley out to get more food, but that was over four hours ago and the two wolves were getting anxious, especially their Beta. At last, there was the sound of someone apparating into the house, but Hermione could sense something was wrong.

Hermione, Draco, and Harry ran into the hallways, their eyes landing on a bruised and bleeding red head werewolf. She gave a hard cough, blood falling from her lips; her eyes connecting with Draco's, "Luna...," she stumbled over her words, "Gone," and then she collapsed to the floor.

Harry ran toward his mate, a low growl of warning to anyone who came near the two of them echoed in his chest. Harry scooped his mate up his arms and moved past Hermione and Draco, who were silently talking to each other, toward the kitchen. The Alpha and Luna moved behind him a short while later, Hermione rushing for the First Aid Kit hidden in one of the messy cabinets. Once she found it, she rushed back to Ginny's body on the long kitchen table and began to rip the Beta's shirt open to get a closer look at the damage done. Hermione gave a sharp gasp, Harry wincing at the sight of his mate in so much pain. Ginny's chest was completely bruised; the large, purple spots disappearing into her bra. Deep scratches zig zagged across her chest and they bled profusely. Hermione reached out and gently touched one, Ginny hissed between her teeth and then let out a low moan. Blood fell from the scratch Hermione had touched faster, staining her clothing and the wooden table underneath.

Hermione turned to her mate, "I know what you're answer is, but I think you need to leave," Draco glanced to Harry who clutched at his wounded mate's hand, "Harry is allowed to stay," she placed a hand on Draco's chest, "She's going to be alright, Draco, I promise you."

Draco nodded, "I know," she knew what he was talking about. Now that they were mated and they could see Ginny's situation truly, their bodies could feel all the pain Harry and Ginny were in and they were very worried. Draco looked at his mate, a small smile crossing his face, "She's in good hands."

Hermione smiled and nodded. Draco turned on his feet and walked out of the kitchen; Merlin knows where he was going, Hermione rolled her eyes. She turned back to Ginny, her skin going paler and paler by the second as she lay on the table. Taking her wand out of her bag, she ran the glowing tip over Ginny's chest. Hermione sighed; she had a lot of work to do.

Draco rushed to the fireplace. Taking the Floo powder from near the fireplace, he dropped it in, "Malfoy Manor," he disappeared in a blast of green fire.

Reappearing a few seconds later in his ancestral home's fireplace, he walked amongst the old halls. Wizarding paintings covered the walls, their inhabitants gone. Cobwebs covered every inch of the place and the light smell of must hung in the air. He reminded himself to hire a maid or two when he got back to Grimmauld Place. He looked into the rooms as he passed them, the objects inside frozen in time where they were.

Suddenly, a loud metallic bang echoed across the Manor and Draco froze in his spot. Turning around, he pulled his wand from its place in his jeans, the end brightening up as he mentally said, "Lumos."

Making his way back towards the fireplace, he took a sudden left, entering a limestone staircase that led down beneath the Manor. His face was blasted with a cold air as he continued his descent; his heightened senses became more and more aware of things. His nose was then flooded with a light smell of a garden and he froze. He then ran, shining his wand in the cells he passed. He then came to the last batch of cells and he froze once again. His mind flashed to the war when his pack was held within these cells and anger ran through his veins.

"Draco?" the light airy voice of his missing pack member broke through his thoughts and his silver eyes connected with another silver grey.

"Lovegood?" he rushed toward her.

"No, you shouldn't have come," she warned him as he made his way to the farthest cell, the one that held the twins when they were held here.

"What do you mean?" Draco asked as he worked on the lock, undoing it pretty quickly. The cell door shrieked as it opened.

Suddenly, a familiar male laugh entered the cluster of cells, "Hello, Draco."

Turning around, Draco's eyes connected with his father's. Lucius Malfoy stood proud at the entrance way, Draco's crazy aunt and uncle flanking him. Now he understood what Luna meant; it was a trap.

Hermione gasped, suddenly, dropping her wand from her hand and it clattered on the table beside a healing Ginny. Pain spread across Hermione's chest and she felt like she was on fire. She wanted to scratch at whatever was there, but there was nothing. Harry looked up at her, brotherly concern filling his face. She fell to the ground, banging her head against the kitchen cabinets behind her. Harry stood up and ran over to her. He cradled her head in his hands, but her eyes fell shut and her breathing became heavy and low. He shook her gently.

"Hermione?" she didn't wake up.
