chapter 7

Colby's POV

"So.. yeah-" I said awkwardly

Sam just looked at me and smiled before hugging me. I hugged back, trying not to cry even though I had barely said anything.

"I'm so sorry."

"There's nothing for you to be sorry for." Sam said softly still in the hug.

"I should of told you sooner." I said with a few tears falling down my face.

Sam came out of the hug and held my shoulders looking at me straight in the face.

"You can do things at your own pace." He said before going back into a hug with me "I'm bisexual."

We stayed in that hug for about 5 minutes before he came out of it.

"It's getting late I'm gonna go to sleep." Sam said yawning (A/N I yawned writing that)

I stood up to walk over to the door but Sam grabbed my hand.

"Stay. Please" He said still holding my hand.

I nodded and sat down on the couch with him. Sam rested his head on my chest and fell asleep soon after.


~In the morning~


I woke up to the smell of toast.

"Your awake then!" I heard Sam laugh.

I rubbed my eyes and went to the bathroom. When I came out, I found Sam sitting at his table eating buttered toast.

"Made you some if you wanted it." He said with his mouth full pointing with his head over to the plate of toast.

I sat down infront of him at the table and ate the toast.

"What time is it?" I asked still half asleep.

"It's 1pm." Sam responded.

"So I slept for 15 hours!??!" I asked him confused but he just shrugged.

We ate some more of our toast before hearing a knock at the door. Jake and Corey ran straight in screaming at Sam. They stopped after looking in my direction obviously not realising I was there when they first came in.

"How long have you been here for?" Corey asked me.

"Since like 9:30pm last night." I responded slightly confused on why they wanted to know.

Corey and Jake whispered to eachover before looking at me and Sam. They smiled weirdly at us.

"Sooooo...... Colby......" Jake said suspiciously "Why were you here all night?"

I shrugged my shoulders but probably went slightly pink. I looked over to Sam and he was definitely pink from blushing. I smiled at him whilst Corey and Jake were talking. I tried to over hear but they were whispering too quietly.

"Sam serious question here." Corey started.

"Are you gay?" Jake finished for him.

"I'm bi actually." Sam said (A/N heartstopper reference 🤭)

Jake and Corey's jaws both dropped. They went back to whispering to eachover.

Sam looked at me and at my phone. I checked my phone to see a message from Sam.

Sam: Should we tell them?

I nodded to him.

"If you wanted to know..." Sam started to try to get their attention. They both looked at him. "Yes me and Colby are dating."

They both looked shocked again.

"Wait actually?" Corey asked.

"I mean we said that we weren't gonna start another prank war right?" I said to them.

They looked even more in shock.

"You gonna tell the fans?" Jake asked.

We both shrugged. We hadn't really talked much about telling people let alone our whole fanbases. Most of them already ship us anyways and it's kind of funny seeing the edits that they make of us.

"Ok well let's leave them alone." Corey said nudging Jake.

They both walked out of the door.

"Hey Colby I got an idea. It's for the eventually telling fans." Sam said to me.

"Yeah?" I asked him.

"We could be closer in videos and try to promote #solby more and see how long it takes until they know for sure."

"Yeah! So kinda like a prank on our fans." I responded
