(Colby's POV)
Me and Sam were watching a movie. Oswald was curled up on Sam's lap as they both slept. I smiled at them and kept watching the movie. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back Sam was awake watching the movie.
I sat down next to him and we continued to watch it.
"Your phone went off." Sam said with his eyes glued to the tv.
I checked my phone to see a message from my mum saying to come to the hospital.
"Sam?" I said.
"Yeah?" He said pausing the movie.
"I gotta go to the hospital do you want to come?" I said and Sam nodded.
"Now?" He asked.
"Yeah."
We both got up and walked to the car. I drove us to the hospital. My arms were shaking as I drove us. I had no clue why we had to go so quickly. I was worried for Gage.
We got there and went to Gage's room where my parents were sitting down on the chairs surrounding the bed.
"What's going on?" I asked confused.
"He's going to have a surgery." My mum said.
We must of looked really confused because my dad added "The survive chances are only at 50:50."
I felt my jaw drop in shock.
"D-does he have to have the surgery?" I asked stuttering trying to stop myself from crying.
My mum nodded sadly.
I looked at Sam who also looked shocked.
A doctor came and took Gage away for his operation. We all sat in nervously in silence waiting for the surgery to be finished and for Gage to come back.
I tried not to think about it but I kept thinking about what I would do without my brother.
After a long wait, a nurse came in to tell us how the surgery went.
