HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY EVEN THO ITS A LITTLE SHORTTTTT
I can't believe it. How could Kade not tell me something like this? I am currently walking past a café on XXXX street. The smell of freshly baked croissants wavers through the air. Sadly it doesn't last long. I am sprinting down the road. The gravel makes a noise every time I pick up my feet. People are giving me weird stares. I mean it's not every day you see a twenty-year-old male with brown hair and brown eyes running down the street in a grey hoodie, sweatpants, and slides. BEFORE YOU JUDGE MY OUTFIT IM A COLLEGE STUDENT I STAY UP LATE WORKING ON HOMEWORK, AND IM BROKE SO GIVE ME A BREAK ALL RIGHT. (Not Jayden forgetting he gets money from "killing" people)
I ran past a sign named Honeycomb Tra l. The I was missing but it could still be read. I ran past fallen trees and a few squirrels. The smell of wet bark still lingers in the air, even though it rained a week ago. I don't like running up this trail. It's annoying but if it wasn't on a hill the view wouldn't be as good. As I turn right, I see an opening in the trees. The branches from both on the side curve upward making a circular opening. It's almost like stepping into a portal. I start walking towards the opening, thankfully seeing a blond-haired boy sitting on the ground looking out over the beautiful view.
Me and Kade used to be part of this club called Twigs. Weird name yes but, it was a group where people would go walking on trails in the woods. It was so beautiful. I remember the first time we walked on Honeycomb Trail. Kade loved the view some much that he wanted to come back every day.
"What a beautiful view". I say, making Kade jump a bit. He probably wasn't expecting me to find him here.
"Yeah"
"Why didn't you tell me," I ask sitting next to him.
"Everything is fine."
"Kade. How long?"
"Since high school". Kade said quietly, looking at the floor. "But it's fine now be-"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"How'd you find out?"
"Um well, you know". INNER VOICE HELP ME. WHAT DO I SAY? Just lie, you idiot. AHHHHH "I just like looked."
"What?" Kade said so confused.
"Don't change the subject." Jayden answers
"I'm not, your ju-"
"I'm going to stop that girl, okay?" Jayden interrupted.
"It's fine Amend helped me".
"HOW? WHEN? WHY?"
"Well after I got beat up, I tried walking to the nurse's office, but I barely could. Amend saw me and helped me get there. After that, we walked out of the school and saw Rachelle. Amend told me to go inside and wait, so I did. Ten minutes later Rachelle comes running in crying. She came right up to me and started apologizing. I'm not sure what Amend did but it worked."
"Why? What?" How did Amend do that? Why did he do that? Are they friends now?
"What do you mean? Amend helped me. Why are you so confused?"
"Are you guys, friends?"
"Yes. Is that a problem?"
"No its just." I don't want you to get hurt.
"I'll be fine don't worry."

Jayden was stressed. Today was his scheduled day to go to "HQ" or a random building where hitman and spies or whatever meet. HQ meetings last who knows how long so he won't be here when Kade gets home or when Amend is here either. Not only that but Jayden slept through his alarm, so he was rushing to get dressed. Thankfully Kade had already left so he didn't have to try and hide anything.
"You ready?" Brian said. The older had been waiting in front of the apartment for twenty minutes.
"Yeah. I think so.".
"You'll be fine."
Jayden hates going to HQ because he never actually finished being a trainee. Since he accidently killed three people the system thought it would be fine to just let him spread his wings and fly. This caused a lot of other people or trainees to talk to him and judge him. He hated it. It's not as fun as I used to think it was, but its my dream, right?

The two boys had just made it to "HQ" and were getting out of the car. HQ isn't really anything special. It's just the seventh, ninth, and eighth floor of an all-glass skyscraper.
"I need to get some files. You go check your desk" Brian said as they walked into the building. The entrance was beautiful, unlike the elevator. It was full of flowers blossoming and a beautiful view of a garden, while the elevator was full of fear. The reminder that every time he goes up a floor, he's closer to more stress. Brian got off at floor five leaving Jayden to get off at floor eight. All. By. Himself.
Ding was the last thing he heard before stepping out of the elevator into what felt like the wild world. His desk number was 450. Nine desks away from the elevator. Just ignore the stares and get to your desk.
"Oh, it's the kid who hires people for him" Some girl whispered to two others.
"I heard he never got trained and he's only here because he's got nothing else to do in life."
"No, I think he's too scared to shoot anyone, so he comes here for like therapy or something."
Why do they hate me so much? Is it because I'm better than them? No number of papers is worth this "walk of shame". Jayden quickly turned around and walked right back into the elevator. He hates that every time he comes to HQ there's always some new rumor about him. There are just some annoying low lives. Since he has to wait for Brian, he decided to press number fourteen. It's probably some stupid business floor, right? (heh lets hope Jayden will be okay)
How you doingggggggggggggggggggg? Sorry its a little short lol
