Chapter 30: Approval?

The siblings were silent for few minutes even after Gun, Mix and New left.

Off: "So, from where should we start?"

Tay: "I will go first."

Earth: "Sure."

Tay: "P'Off... I know you are upset with this, we are really sorry for hiding this from you for so long."

Off: "I know I was not supportive back when you and New started dating. Atleast you could've told me in these past few months!"

Tay: "We didn't want to hide it P'Off. We were planning to say but you found out before that."

Off: "So you are saying it was my mistake?"

Tay: "First of all it was no one's mistake, second, if I am being honest, we were not sure how you will react, that's why we kept delaying. We are really sorry P'Off."

Off couldn't say anything as he saw how Tay was being sincere.

Off: "So who is going next? I am so ready to listen to your excuses..."

Earth: "We are also sorry P'Off. We didn't mean to hide it from you but as P'Tay said we were not sure how you will react and..."

Off: "And?"

Earth: "Mix is also P'Gun's younger brother so there's a lot at stake. You never dated anyone and dedicated your life to us. Finally you found someone to keep you happy, someone who cared about you and someone who didn't find us as baggage. You were..."

Off: "Cut that crap and get to the point."

Earth: "We didn't want you to lose P'Gun because of us."

Meanwhile in the kitchen

Gun was getting the cups, Mix was making some espresso for everyone and New was fixing some cookies. There was an awkward silence between them.

Mix: "P'Gun..."

Gun: "Hmm?"

Mix: "I am sorry."

Gun kept the cups aside and focused fully on Mix.

Gun: "You are sorry for what?"

Mix: "I am sorry you had to find us in that situation."

Gun: "I don't want to be reminded again."

Mix: "Yes, you are right. I am sorry. I am sorry I kept Earth hidden."

Gun: "It's fine, I can guess why you have to keep it secret."

Mix: "You do?"

Gun: "Don't be so surprised. I am your elder brother, I know you and I know Off. So it makes sense why you didn't tell me about Earth."

Mix: "That's one of the reason."

Gun: "You have more reasons?"

Mix: "Its.. I didn't want you and P'Off to breakup because of us. I know P'Off is not like that asshole you dated two years back. After that ugly breakup, you looked happy on the outer but deep down I know you were not the same as before. I saw you being genuinely happy when you started dating P'Off. I didn't want to ruin that."

Gun thought he kept a good facade post his break up but Mix saw right through him.

Gun: "You are right."

Mix: "I am sorry."

Gun: "It's all fine Mix. I was just upset you didn't tell me earlier but you had your reasons. So everything is fine now."
