Important plot points:
1. Wukong decides he needs a weapon and essentially forces the dragon of the east to give him the compliant steal rod(which can change length and width at will and weighs 17,560 pounds) and a cool new outfit
2. Wukong forms a fraternal alliance with 6 local demon kings
3. The kings of Yama(the underworld) come to collect Wukong's soul, and Wukong instead crosses his name and the names of all other monkeys he could find out of the underworld ledger and leaves
4. In order to control Wukong better before turning straight to violence, Wukong is offered an appointment in heavenSummary:
Between this chapter and the last, Wukong has been teaching his subjects the art of creating and using weapons. He decides however that the need real weapons, so he travels to a nearby kingdom, and summons a massive wind storm so that he can steal their entire armory because it's more "convenient" than buying them. Why doesn't everyone think of that?
While training, Wukong also decides that his weapon isn't good enough and decides to pay his neighbor, the Dragon of the East, a visit to see if he has a suitable weapon for him. After declining every weapon, he picks up an extremely heavy iron pillar that no one else can even move and that he can shrink and grow at his will, and claims that as his weapon. He then demands an outfit to go with it, and when the dragon claims to not have any, Wukong claims he isn't going to leave until he has one because going somewhere else wouldn't be "convenient" either.
After forcing all 4 dragon kings to assemble and put together an outfit for him he apologizes for "bothering" them and leaves. He begins visiting local demons and forms a fraternal alliance with 6 other local demon kings. One day, after getting drunk and passing out, 2 underworld summoners come and grab Wukong's soul. After killing these two, fighting his way into the underworld, and demanding to see the underworld ledger, he crosses out his name along with those of every other monkey he could find and goes home.
After this, the Jade Emperor starts getting complaints from the dragon kings and from the kings of Yama about Wukong, and the Jade Emperor immediately decide to arrest him. However, the Gold Star of Venus suggests that rather than immediately turning to violence, they could just try to get him under control by giving him an appointment in heaven where they could watch him more closely and arrest him more easily if need be. The Jade Emperor agrees, The Gold Star issues this decree to Wukong, and Wukong, who claims he had already been considering a visit up to heaven, happily follows him.
Well things are going just perfectly for Wukong! I'm sure it'll all turn out just fine...
