I heard a beep.

Then another, and another.

There were many beeps, all had a different tone.

I breathe steadily as my eyes still remain shut. My body slowly stirs awake.

"Until how long will she be like this?" Jett's voice was heard.

Was he talking about me?

"Alpha, it'll be about a few more days. And even then I don't know if she will." A women around her early thirty, voice could be heard in a soft tone.

Bam!

Something had broke as it hit the wall. And I assume Jett threw an object out of anger, since he's capable of that.

"I'll leave you to be Alpha." The lady's footsteps began to walk and then stopped. "But if she does wake up, let her take it easy for the next few days. So don't rush her into anything."

The door was shut, judging by the sound it made. And Jett began to pace back and forth.

I want to get up and tell him that he's an idiot for not giving me his water. And why the hell does he have that strong alcohol in the first place?

Werewolves.

A very strange topic to humans, who most of the time can't even understand their own species.

"I really fucked up this time." Jett croaked.

Did his voice just crack? Was he really upset over me? When I'm always making his life hard.

"God!" He sighed while banging some part of his body, most likely his fist against the wall. "I finally found my mate and I failed to keep her."

I could feel Jett's emotion behind his words. And my heart was being pulled into sadness by it.

It wasn't something normally seen.

He was hurting.

There was silence that soon filled the room with many beeps.

"Looks like I'm going to have to marry that bitch anyways." Jett mumbled making me wonder.

Who was he going to marry? Not me because we never really discussed the topic.

Jett was heard sighing before his footsteps trailed out of the room I was in.

He's getting married to someone else? Why does that thought bother me so much?

Unconsciously I felt a tear slide down my cheek.

Was I really upset over this? Shouldn't I congratulate him for getting married?

I heard another beep from the machine, and it somehow annoyed me to the point of my body waking up.

Without meaning to, I unplugged the machines after taking out all the needles they had put in my body.

"That's better." I breathe as my feet touched the ground.

I gradually got up, stretching out my bones and muscles. My body was acting as it normally did.

Not wanting to tell Jett, I slowly opened the door and walked out.

I knew that he was upstairs due to the movement I felt from the ceiling.

My body and mind thought it would be best to hang out in his office.

And so I did.

I comfortably sat in his spinning chair to wait for him. While I sat down, I looked out the window.
