"Thanks for the food Eric. But I'm afraid I have to go back before anyone sends out a search party for me..."

Or in my case, werewolves who wouldn't think twice about killing you.

But of course I didn't say that to him because then he would probably take me to a mental hospital...

"Later McKenna." Eric waved by as he hopped off his hotel room floor and I stayed in the elevator.

Apparently he got off at the second floor. But I knew deep down that this wasn't a good thing.

Following this feeling I hit floor number five on the elevator. Even though I knew this floor wasn't the one where Jett got the hotel rooms for us.

The elevators door for the fifth floor opened and I got off. I figured that Eric might know that I was a bit suspicious of his ass.

Instead of creating more problems, I opened the door that lead to the stairs and began climbing them.

By the eight floor my body was already getting tired. But the floor was the next one that I needed to get off at.

Opening the door that lead me to floor nine, the last floor in the building, I was met with Jacob.

"McKenna?" Jacob sighed, rubbing his temples.

"The one and only." I retorted. "What's up?"

When I asked that question Jakes eyes widen before he began pacing back and forth.

Looks like some shit hit the fan.

"Where were you?" Jacob looked at me dead in the eye. His amber eyes hid his emotions, making him look intimidating.

"Hanging out in town with a beach friend, since you know, I got fucking locked out." I added.

"What?" Jake asked in a soft tone.

"Yeah. That asshole locked me out of the hotel room after I left your room."

Jacob sighed running his hands through his hair. His biceps flexed as he did so, and I stared.

"Do you guys have a gym?" I bluntly asked. "It's been a while since I did my gym routine."

And hell did I miss building my booty and body.

"Yes, but that's not the point." Jacob sighed again. "The point is that Jett thought you left him, so he went back to search for you."

Looks like I got a man with mood swings, worse than a pregnant lady...

"So?"

"So you are going to have to calm his ass down before he goes on a rampage." He said casually.

"What the fuck Jacob. Do you not remember that I'm only human? This bitch don't got no super powers."

But in all honesty there was only so much a human can do to help calm a werewolf.

"You're wrong about the super powers because the one and only McKenna Rivers can calm down the big bad Alpha Jett Black." Jacob pointed out.

"Fine. I'll try." I said in defeat. Once again Jacob won this battle.

Jacob then grabbed my hand and began dragging me out of the hotel and into the car.

It seemed like there was no time to waste by his reaction. He must care for Jett if he's willing to do this.

"How old is Jett?" I asked as Jacob hit the gas peddle going over the speed limit.

"He's twenty five. And I'm twenty four." He spoke glancing at me.
