days passed quickly, almost too quickly.

but they were enjoyable.

you had an entirely different back that was gonna be packed of your toiletries and makeup.

you just got your hair done by the only black braider you knew, which immigrated here with her boyfriend that came to tour the states for his 21st birthday. now here they were, 10 years later, and he was a professional photographer and she ran a beauty boutique.

you didnt even realize how many other people of color were in japan, just around the corner, but when you came into her boutique, it felt welcoming.
