Chapter Six

I'm not going to be fine. I can't do this.

I probably look like a complete fool right now, just standing outside the classroom door. I really had thought this would be easy, I thought that I would just have to walk in and sit down without worrying about any of the other people noticing me.

"Um hey, are you ok?" I jump at the voice and quickly turn around to face the direction it came from. I see a Hufflepuff girl with blonde hair standing behind me with a warm smile.

"Oh, uh- yeah I'm fine."

"Are you in this class as well?" So she's in this class.

"I am."

"Well it's nice to know someone in this class, seeing as I know no one here. I'm Susan, Susan Bones, it's nice to meet you. And you are?"

"I'm Y/n L/n. It's nice to meet you too."

"Well Y/n, why don't we head in together? That way we both have a friend in this class?"

"That would be nice." She smiles, opens the door and we step in.

Time skip because classes are boring

"That class was kind of weird."

"Yeah I agree with you there Y/n." Astronomy class has finished and Susan and I are headed to the Great Hall to do our homework together.

"Ah, I just realized I have to pick up a book from the library. You go on without me, I'll meet you there." Susan says before walking off to the library. Guess I have to walk there by myself... As I continue on my way, footsteps approach me from behind.

"Hi there!" I turn... and it's the boy. The pretty one I saw at the train station. The one with white hair and blue eyes.

"Hi?"

"I'm Norman, it's nice to meet you." He smiles softly at me.

"I'm Y/n L/n, it's nice to meet you too." I nod slightly in acknowledgement.

"Are you headed to the Great Hall?"

"Yes, I am. You?"

"I am too. Why don't we walk together?"

"Sure." I don't know what it was but something about him made me feel safe. He's a mudblood though... oh well, I guess I just can't let Draco find out I was talking to him.

"What class did you have just then?"

"I had Astronomy, you?"

"I had potions."

"Oh, you had Snape."

"Yeah, he's sooo strict. I swear he has something against me." I giggle at this.

"That's just the way he is to everyone. He can be super mean sometimes."

"He really can be. Hey, you're in my charms class right? You sit next to Ray."

"I do sit next to him in charms."

"So I was right! I sit behind you, by the way. Good job getting the spell right!"

"Thank you, it's nice to know that I know someone else in one of my classes."

"It is nice to know someone else. Well, it looks like we're here. I'll see you in charms."

"Yeah, bye!"

Ray's Pov

I'm sitting at the Gryffindor table with Emma, Ron, Harry and Hermione. We're all doing our homework (except for Ron) while waiting for Norman.
