Chapter 6

Dereks POV

As I left my bedroom I couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I was walking down the hallway and stopped when I reached the door to my study. I opened it and walked in closed the door behind me and kept on walking to my bookshelves. I mind linked Nick and Dan and told them to meet me at the bottom of the staircase. I pulled out a book that worked as the lever that would open the book case and reveal a hidden stair case that led to the underground tunnels under my estate. The only ones who know the way around the tunnels are a trusted few. Which is a good thing, because if someone found their way in there they would get lost and never find their way out. The pack knows about the underground tunnels and they are only supposed to use them if there is an invasion.

Once I reached the bottom of the stairs there was Dan and Nick waiting for me. They were twins who are below Carol in ranking. Nick was more the good boy. He had shaggy hair while Dan was the bad boy. His hair was in a buzz cut. “What was so important that I had to come down here?”

Nick spoke first “I’m sorry alpha but this is something you’re going to want to hear in order to believe.”

I walked ahead of them until we entered a corridor I entered a series of numbers and the door opened. My senses picked up the smell of blood. I looked over my shoulder at Dan and he was smirking “What? I had to get the answers out of him somehow.” I continued walking and stood behind a one way glass. I looked in and saw the rogue tied up in the chair. His face was beat up pretty bad. From what I could tell his nose was broken along with his jaw, and from the looks of it he was going to have a pretty bad black eye.

“Whats the story on him?”

Dan walked up to the glass so he was next to me “Well from what he told me he no one. He was just on orders from his someone higher up than then.”

“Order to what exactly?”

“This is where we wanted you to come down here for. Apparently it has something to do with that girl you brought here.” I growled

“Her name is Michelle…wait what do you mean it had something to do with her?”

Nick came forward and placed a hand on my shoulder. I shrugged it off “When we found him he was in bad shape apparently he was in a car accident when we found him.” Car accident? Wait….no he couldn’t have been the other driver….the one who was driving on the wrong side of the road? But why would someone want to kill Michelle? Before I could register what was happening I entered the room and charged at the rogue.

“Who sent you?”

I picked him up by the shirt “I cant say…..I don’t even know who he is.”

“What were your orders” I said as I shoved him against the wall

“I already told the other guy….” I shoved him against the wall harder this time “Don’t make me repeat myself” My wolf was getting mad I could feel him trying to get out.

“I had to crash into this one car on the road. I didn’t even know the girl in the car. It was supposed to be a hit and run, but when my car wouldn’t start I knew I had to get out of there before people started asking questions.”

“What does he want with the girl?”

“I told you I don’t know…” I put my head right by his ear. “Then I guess you’re no use to me after all”

I dropped him on the floor and walked away from his body slowly. “Dan don’t make a big mess…oh and after your done come find me” I started to walk down the hallway when I heard him say “WAIT!!....my phone….”

I stopped and turned around “What about your phone?”

He mumbled something and I could barely make out anything “SPEAK LOUDER”

“My phone…I have his number maybe that would help you guys in a way, but please don’t kill me…..I didn’t mean to do it I was under his control.”

“Nick, find his phone and bring it to me when it’s located. Dan I want you to keep a close eye on him if so much sneezes funny…..Kill him.”

“Yes, Alpha”

I rushed up the stairs and entered my study. I sat down on my desk and looked out the window. Who would want to hurt Michelle she’s just a human……Unless there was something I truly didn’t know about her.

But what could it be?

Unknown POV

I threw my glass of whiskey at the wall. That imbecile. I gave him one stupid assignment one easy assignment at that and he couldn’t accomplish it. And on top of that he gets caught by all people. It truly is hard to find good help these days. It’s like if you want something done the right correct way then you have to do it yourself. I watched as the whiskey ran down the wall.

No one knows how important and strong that girl is. I thought it ended when her mother died, but now I see that it got passed down to her daughter. She isn’t going to fully ascend until she mates with her mate. I don’t think Hopefully she doesn’t live that long to find him.

I know its short but you guys are soo amazing that i thought i should lets you see what i have planned for Michelle.

I know this chapter leaves you with alot of questions, but thats whats so great about a story you have to keep reading to find the answers.
