Michelles POV

All you could hear at that moment was the sound of chairs scrapping the floor as everyone got up and left the kitchen. Shirtless guys walked passed me and I just stared at their sculpted backs and the thing that amazed me the most was that no one dared say a word back to Derek.

Everyone passed us including Christi and Clayton and once the kitchen was empty I finally looked up at him, you could tell he was mad, and I really didn't understand why. His arms were crossed over his chest and one of his eyebrows were raised as if he was questioning me.

"Not that many people surprise me Michelle, you know why? Because most people are scared of what I might do to them if they get caught not listening to what I say. So I'm only going to ask you once what are you doing out of bed?"

I looked up at him like he was crazy. Who was he to order me around? I mean I understand that I'm in his house and that he is taking care of me, but still I can make my own decisions on my own he wasn't my father.

"I was tired of lying in bed doing nothing. My body felt weird just lying there, so I decided to go do some exploring. No big deal" I picked up my fork and picked at my now cold eggs. I could feel his eyes on me. He didn't say anything at all so it was just silence. I felt if someone dropped a needle you could hear it.

"Are you just going to stand there and stare at me, because you're freaking me out." I heard him chuckle and walk over to me. He pulled a chair out and sat right down in front of me.

"Are you always going to be this sarcastic?"

"I don't know are you always going to be so bossy?" He placed his thumb under his chin and his finger above his lip and leaned back against the chair. He was lost in thought. I looked back down at my plate and found it to be dull. I lost my appetite and stood up from the chair. I walked over to the sink and threw away the left-over food.

I placed my dish in the sink and turned on the water. As a child I loved how water felt on my skin especially on a hot summer day when I would run my arms and hands under the ice cold water to cool off. I ran my hands under the water before pumping the soap dispenser and washing my dish.

Once my dish was clean I placed it on the drying rack and turned around only to run into Derek. I jumped back and looked up at his face. Its like he was trying to say something but he couldn't get the words out of his mouth. "Look Derek just spit it out already. I know you have something to say"

He sighed "I need to ask you about the car accident. Do you remember anything weird from that day?"

"Weird what do you mean?" He rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged his shoulders "I don't know like someone following you?"

I laughed and walked out of the kitchen not knowing exactly where I was heading I stopped and Derek ran into me. My whole back started to tingle again from his body touching mine. These tingles reminded me of when I was coming in and out of consciousness I felt these exact sensations before.

"You mean like what you're doing right now?"

"I wouldn't say I'm following you. It's more like I'm just making sure you don't get lost. I'm actually considering giving you the grand tour" I laughed

"What's the point if I'm not going to be staying here for long. I'm probably healed so maybe I could go back to my house..." I heard a growling sound and looked down but didn't see anything, so I turned around and looked back down

"What are you looking for?"

"Well I keep on hearing this growling noise I'm trying to find your dog." I turned around to face him and he had a blank look on his face. "What did I say something wrong?"
