"Big brother, I had a dream last night."
I turned to Jennette who was playing with two of her precious dolls. She was sitting on my bed while I was in front of my desk, studying and preparing for Arlanta.
"Hmm? Was your dream very lovely?" I questioned with a smile on my face. She quickly nodded in admiration as she stretched out one of her dolls to me.
"It was! A lady with grey hair with a lovely appearance and warm presence appeared in my dream! In my dream, I saw her making my moon and stars glow!" I paused at her words.
My eyes widened as I recalled the memories I had that night. I was surprised that she had a dream about it. I chuckled at how her eyes brightened as she waited for my response.
"What a pleasant dream, indeed. Was that all?" She shook her head and started playing with her dolls.
"You were there! But you looked so young in my dream.. the lovely lady was carrying you." Her response made me stare at her in shock.
"Oh?" Was all I said as I tried to register what she just told me.
Elyse..
I turned around when I heard a breeze whisper my name. I saw no one behind me which made me cock an eyebrow up before shaking my head. I turned around and made my way inside of the room.
"Eli!" Lilian greeted me once I entered the room.
Yes, Lilian York. I work as one of the maids in the ruby palace now. The reasons why I decided to become a maid are none. I didn't have a reason to become a maid, I was just simply killing time by being beside the protagonist, Athanasia.
"Good morning to you too, Lily." I chuckled to her as I walked towards her.
"Eli!" Athanasia beamed as she ran towards me which made the brown haired gasp.
"Princess!" She called out worriedly as the little princess ran towards me.
I chuckled as I picked up the child and twirled her around before holding her close in my arms. She gave me a quick kiss on my cheeks before she pulled away to show me her bright smile.
"The princess really has so much energy first thing in the morning." I pinched her cheek after I raised one of my hands.
"Princess! Don't ever do that again!"
Lilian panicked as she looked at the princess' figure to see if she was okay or not. She's overacting too much when Athanasia just ran. Well, she loves this child so much and after she collapsed and fell into a coma for a month.
Claude just moved Athanasia to the Emerald palace, about time I suppose. It's a good thing that he never felt anything odd about me. Well, I'm nobody to him anyways, just one of Athanasia's favorite nanny. Even if he suspected something about me, he wouldn't call me a threat.
"Come on, princess. Felix is already waiting outside." I said, shushing Lilian from scolding her any longer.
"Wait..!"
I waved a hand to Lily as I carried the princess out of the room, rescuing her from the brown haired scolding. I heard her let out a sigh of relief when I closed the doors to her bedroom and went to Felix.
"Let's go, princess. Your playmate that his majesty picked is already waiting in the other room." Felix said as he grabbed the child from my hold and carried her.
I followed them from behind since I didn't want to stand beside Felix, I just don't. Let's say that I'm no longer comfortable with any grown up man, even if they're someone close to me.
