"Why do you have such thoughts in your mind, my lady?" Ijekiel questioned, whispering in my ear.

He turned me around to face him. I felt like I wanted to explode when I met his eyes. He pulled me up to him after he snaked his arms around my waist. I was startled and quickly wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Because who wouldn't fall in love with the princess...?" I muttered which made his eye twitch a little before he leaned down to my face.

"Have I not proved to you that you're the only woman I love?" His hot breath tickled my skin.

"Y-You don't get it.." I whimpered as his hold tightened around me. I felt his lips on my cheek, pressing such kisses down to my jawline.

"Then tell me.. make me understand. Why would my woman think of such things? Have I done something wrong?" He whispered on my neck which made me shudder.

"I-I can't... It will ruin everything!" I answered desperately.

I felt him shift down to me. He rested his head on my shoulder. My breath hitched at the sudden shift of position until I felt something wet on my shoulder. My eyes widened before I looked down at his figure.

"Then why.. why can't I erase the thoughts of me being with the princess in your mind? How can I erase it without knowing why it existed in the first place..?" I couldn't utter a word in his statements.

"Ijekiel.." I called out as I felt a pang in my heart.

"I would've understood your troubles.. me and the princess have already met when we were kids. But I know I made sure to express and be obvious about my feelings towards you, saintess..."

I don't know, Ijekiel. I don't know if I can keep up with this anymore. I want to tell you, but I can't. I can't interfere with the story that's never mine in the first place. Your feelings.. wasn't meant to be for me, but for her.

"I'm sorry.." Was all I could mutter to him before I felt something soft on my shoulder. I could feel and recognize that it was his lips.

"C-Can't you understand that my heart beats solely for you..?" His question made my eyes water a bit.

"Because your heart was never meant to beat for me in the first place, Ijekiel.." I cried out which made him pull away from my shoulder to look at me. I can see how his eyes were filled with pain and sorrow.

"But it did..! It did because of you..! The moment I saw you in Jennette's nursery room, it beats for you! My love is only for you..!"

Tears streamed down his fluffy and soft cheeks that were painted with red hues. I could hear my heart pound with the sight of his state. I raised my hand to touch his face until I felt a presence from behind him.

"Ijekiel!" I heard his father, Roger, call out.

"I'm sorry.." I stood on my tiptoes before I gave him a soft and gentle kiss on his lips.

I quickly snapped my fingers and teleported away. I was able to escape from the Alpheus family in an instant. I could still feel the lingering pain that Ijekiel felt, it went deeper than it should.

I let out an exhausted sigh before I turned my back on them and snapped my fingers.

I found myself in Athanasia's bedroom where Lucas is playing around with her hair. I could vividly remember this scene. The young lady sleeps while her future lover stabilizes her raging mana.

"Lucas." I called out as I walked towards them before sitting down on the edge of bed.

I stared at them until the princess' hair glowed. I hummed as I, too, joined the magician in playing with her hair. Seeing how her mana finally stabilizes, I couldn't help but smile. I turned my gaze to Lucas whose eyes were on the sleeping lady.
