The day I meet Darcy

Chapter 7- Boys are all the same...

Darcy's POV:

I've been going to school for a week now and Abbey till hasn't returned. What if she moved away because she couldn't handle being near me? What if she has passed away? How will I ever forgive myself for what I did?

I hadn't been sleeping in days now and my parents and 'friends' had noticed. They tried to get me to eat and drink but I couldn't force myself because I felt really guilty about Abbey.

I think I might text Abbey tonight, maybe she will reply so I know she is out of the coma and alive. I'm just so worried about her. I texted her. Then I just went about my day not listening to teachers, not eating and hardly sleeping.

Abbey's POV:

When I woke up I tried to open my eyes but they were heavy. How long had I been out for? What happened?

When my eyes would open I saw my mum by my side silently weeping. I squeezed her hand. She looked up in shock and called a doctor in. The doctor checked my wounds and said I could go home if my mum promised to take a couple of days off work to help me. Mum agreed only because she felt guilty about never being home.

I checked my phone and found a text from Darcy, it read, "Hey Abbey, its Darcy. I was just wondering if you were out of hospital yet? Are you ok? Do you know when you will be coming back to school? We need to talk; I need to explain my actions the other day. If you don't want to talk to my ever again, I wont like it but I understand why. If you don't want to here my explanation just know that I regret what I said and I really do like you. I just said it because the guys blackmailed me. Anyway, I hope you get better soon. Darcy."

I decided I would wait till I was home, then I would ring him and see what he has to say but I'm not going to be stupid like I was with Joel.

When we arrived home I went to my room and rang Darcy. He answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey Darcy, you said you wanted to talk so here I am."

"OMG, Abbey. Are you ok? Do you know what happened? Did your mum explain everything to you? Did she pass on my message?"

"Yeah I know what happened. How do you know what happened? My mum wouldn't have contacted you. She's never met you before."

"She didn't tell you everything. Abbey I was the one that found you that day. I came over because you didn't meet me at the park. I found you and immediately rang an ambulance. I went with the ambulance but shortly after your mum arrived, she kicked me out because I expressed my thoughts of how it was my fault. She got angry and kicked me out. I told her to tell you that I needed to talk to you and I'm sorry."

"Did you really find me?"

"Yes Abbey, I did."

"Darcy, what's your explanation about gym class? Why did you do it?"

"Abbey, the jocks blackmailed me and said that if I didn't humiliate you and reject you then I wouldn't be allowed onto the team. I made a promise to me dad about playing football so I couldn't risk them not letting me on the team, as I don't want to let my dad down. I'm really sorry and I regret it."

"Now that you have explained things to me, where were you expecting things to go huh? You're in with the jocks and I'm just some loner. What you did was for the best. Bye Darcy, I can't let myself get hurt again."

"Wait- no Abbey. Don't han--." And then I hung up on him.

I cried myself to sleep that night thinking about Darcy rejecting me, Joel breaking my heart, my mum lying to me and my dad leaving me here alone with my mum.

Hey its been a little while. I hope you like my story so far, this is a short chapter and I'm sorry for that. Life's been quite busy as of late. I hate exams :( Im meant to be studying for my maths and physics exams tomorrow but meh. Anyway feel free to talk to me if your bored like I am :)
