Weeks went by. Me and Chris exchanged smiles and glances every now and then. Theo haven't talked ever since things happened. I felt like I was over exaggerating, and that I needed to be the one to step up and fix things instead of just leaving things how they where now. I was always the one to fix things, to apologize first. If things where going to change then I can't do it anymore. I'm still lost about what I want. Half of me craves Chris, and the other half craves Theo. I know what's best for me, more than anyone does.
It's third period, I sat there doodling flowers in tea cups on my algebra work sheet. I looked up and caught a glimpse of Theo looking at me. I desperately wanted to look back. But I was stronger than that. He wasn't the one. Chris was right. I should be with someone I knew half of my entire life, but it felt like i knew him that long. "Isabella." My teacher called. My head shot up. "Huh. I mean, the hypothenuse is c". I quickly answered. We exchanged odd glances. "Correct, pay more attention please. You might not need to know this later on, but for right now you need to pass the class." He said. "Yes, Mr. Cays." He nodded his head. I began doodling again.
The bell rang, and I quickly gathered my stuff and walked out brushing up against Theo. I didn't bother to make eye contact. "Whoa, nice job, smart ass!" Kelsey said patting me on my back. I laughed and smiled. "I try." We both quickly walked to our lockers, "what's going on between you and Chris? Better yet Theo." Kelsey said turing in the last number of her Locker. I let out a deep sigh. "What's your plans for this weekend?" I asked her. "There's a party at Theo's her invited me, and you're coming with." Kelsey said. "Ohh. Well, you're spending the night at my house. If we go, im bringing Chris." I smiled at her. "Fine. You still have a drawer at me for my clothes at your house?" She asked. I gave her a look, she new it was an automatic yes.
It was Friday, the party was tonight.
I rambled through my closet. "What are you wearing?" I asked kelsey. "The shorter, the better." She smirked at me. I rolled my eyes. I let out a long sigh. "Oh com'n. I thought you where changing? You need to think about this, if you're gonna be a new person, start with a new wardrobe." She said. I began thinking. I am changing. In a bad way? I gave her a puzzled look. She rolled her eyes at me. "Here, wear this." She threw a black shirt dress at me. "wear combat boots with it or black on black vans. Converse works too." She smiled taking off her shirt.
We both got dressed I did my daily makeup routine and left my hair alone. "I'll drive" I said taking the keys off the table. I wrote my mom a note saying where I was going and what time I might be back.
We both turned down the block, the closer we got, the louder the music went. "I though we where going to Theo's? He's my neighbor." I asked. "No? Theo lives down here. Not your neighbor." She said showing me the invention. I ignored it and parked across the street.
We both walked up to the door step, and walked in. I quickly scanned the room for Chris. He was with Leah. Okay. It's just a friendly conversation. Relax... I looked over for Kelsey who already went off with some guy. I looked back to where Chris was. He disappeared, just like that. Okay. Where's Theo? I scanned the room for the both of them. I felt someone cover my eyes and whisper, "don't say anything. Keep your eyes down the whole time until I say look. Okay?" A chill ran down my spine. I nodded and swallowed the clump in my throat. It grabbed my hand and led me to a room.
Chris?
It has to be.
Theo wouldn't do this.
Pull it together.(Hope you guys enjoyed! I'm doing this all on my phone, it took me three days with dramatic breaks. Cannot wait for the next chapter, it MIGHT be update today, I'm not sure, and I can't promise anything. (: - makayla 💁🏼)
