DO YOU STILL REMEMBER?

don’t you miss the feeling of being a child?
the moments where the happiness in your eyes is piled
doesn’t care about your hair and clothes—on how they are styled
playing with your friends: run, free, and wild

don’t you miss the feeling of dirt on your hands and skin?
making a lot of mistakes, but all you just do is smirk and grin
a little kid whose dreams are within
not knowing when the difficulties will begin

don’t you miss the time when you were sitting in front of the television while waiting for your favorite cartoons to start?
those times when you’re getting teased, but you’re not taking it to heart
when you drew a sun between two mountains and a house with a ricefield—treating it as an art
and remember when you cried when you and your friends were apart

don’t you miss those times when your mother always told you to sleep?
but you still want to play outside, so you’re just going to show your annoyance by stamping your feet and weep.
there’s nothing you can do but close your eyes—it seems that you’re sleeping, but you’re just waiting for your mother to fall asleep
till you drifted off while waiting for your mother’s sleep to be deep

for sure, reminiscing about these things makes you remember your childhood memories
but now we all have our different priorities
make your children's childhood memorable while you read them stories
make them wondrous, and don’t make memories with all the same sceneries.
