You couldn't believe it.

You could not believe it.

The fact he was here, in the club that you and your friends often visited when you were bar crawling, had to be some form of fate.

Simon, John, and two other men sat at the bar, drinking and conversing happily.

You wouldn't even have noticed if it wasn't for Tamara, the way she shouted over the music "Hey, isn't that your hot neighbour?"

You shot a glance over, and sure enough, he was there. Looking bored out of his mind as the men around him talked, John looked excited about something.

"You should say hello!" Tamara smiled down at you as you two danced in the crowd, the lights switching to a vibrant red as the song changed.

"Oh, no. No." You shuffled closer within your group as people pushed past you on the way to the bar. "I'm not really..."

"Are you nervous?" Tamara shot back and smiled at you slyly.

She was right. Only a little. The festering crush you had on Simon persisted, building rapidly, especially after you woke up with a blanket draped over you after you fell asleep on the couch. Something you suspected he was behind.

Tamara grabbed your hand, shouting a quick 'be right back' to your group, and pulled you with her to the bar.

The bar was so crowded, people chatting and hanging out waiting for drinks. You barely managed to squeeze next to Tamara as she pressed against the bar, ordering two tequila shots.

"Holy shit, (Y/n)? Is that you?" Your head snapped to John, a drunk smile on his face as he leaned into your personal space, shouting over the music. "What a coincidence! Is this your friend?"

You smiled at the mohawked man and nodded, stepping back slightly so he could shake Tamara's hand.

"Tamara."

"John. MacTavish." He winked at her, just barely, lacking the proper coordination to do so in his drunken state. He released her hand and turned back to you, his hand resting on your shoulder, "You should come to say 'hi' to Simon! And to our friends."

John held up a finger to Tamara as he started to walk you over to his group. Upon approaching a tall man with a... Beard? Mutton chops? Made a happy 'ah' noise, waving the two of you over.

"Johnny! Who's your friend?" He spoke, his voice deep and rumbly. Like thunder, you noted.

"This is (Y/n)! She's Simon's neighbour." At the mention of 'neighbour' the one wearing a hat smiled knowingly, almost as if he knew a secret you didn't.

"Hi." You spoke finally, breaking the silence, "I'm-... He just introduced me, sorry."

The one with the voice like a thunderstorm laughed, not in a teasing way, just in an amused manner, and nodded.

"Lovely to meet you." He sounded like he was just naturally loud, not really needing to raise his voice much for it to boom over the music. "I'm John. But since you knew Johnny before me, you can just call me Price."

You nodded. That must be confusing.

"This is our good friend Kyle, the heartbreaker of our group." MacTavish pointed to the one with the hat. Kyle. He smiled, his teeth shiny and white. He was cute and seemed sweet.

"Simon talks about you all the time." Kyle leaned closer to you and nodded, "It's great to finally meet you."

Simon visibly tensed up, he couldn't handle this. An odd form of the two different versions of his life crashing violently into each other. He never planned on you meeting anyone he knows, besides MacTavish, and here you were. Buddy-buddy chatting with the members of his squadron. Laughing at things Gaz said, nodding along happily in the conversation that was happening just two feet in front of him.
