Maybe a minute after Danny left, the window slid open. "Vance? You okay?"

When Blake padded over again, he gently touched Vance's shoulder. Vance leaned into the touch, so Blake went ahead and put both hands on his shoulders to soothe circles into them.

"I'm sorry I left my jacket there. I was just in such a goddamn rush to leave that I forgot about it. I'm really sorry." Blake knelt down and tried to look into his face. "Vance? Are you okay?"

Vance wanted to respond, but he didn't know what to say. He wasn't mad about the jacket. He was feeling a million other things, and it was all overwhelming him until he just couldn't react to any of it.

"I figured you wouldn't be." Blake grabbed his wrists and gently pulled them away. He smiled at Vance's red eyes and wet cheeks. "There's those pretty eyes."

Blake wiped at Vance's face.

"You shouldn't listen to Danny, alright? You don't need to be fixed." His thumb brushed at Vance's eyelash softly enough to tickle. "I've told you a million times; you're perfect, sweetheart."

Blake pulled away, but Vance grabbed him and whispered, "Kiss me."

He did it right away, and it was warm and gentle, and Vance fell right into it. He didn't care anymore what the hell he did with Blake Coleman. It all amounted to the same thing; he was a Romano that came out wrong, came out queer, so he might as well just give himself to it. It didn't matter.

Blake tried to pull away, but Vance chased after him, begging, "Please, Blake, please don't."

Please don't leave him to keep thinking about all that.

Blake kept giving Vance what he wanted, what he needed, and Vance was so beyond any point of feeling embarrassed for begging for more. Vance's mouth kept pushing eagerly against Blake's, silently asking for more—anything that would make his mind cloud over the way he needed.

"Wait, Vance, hold on a minute—"

"No, please, Blake. Please don't stop." Vance pulled Blake's face to his, trying to get Blake to just do that thing where he made everything disappear and all that mattered was Blake. "Please, I need you."

Then, Blake was also kissing him desperately, kissing him like he couldn't do it enough, hard enough to push them both over onto the bed, and yes, this was it. Vance moaned into the kiss, scrabbling at his shoulders and shirt to get him closer, and suddenly Blake's cotton shirt felt like a brick wall, and Vance wanted it off. He started pulling it up, and Blake stuttered out, "Vance, wait. Are you sure you want to—"

"Yes, yes, please. Just please keep touching me. Do whatever you want to me." His chest hurt how much he needed this even though Blake wasn't giving it to him. "Blake."

"Hey, I don't know—" he let himself get drawn into a kiss, but he pulled off "—if we should get all hot and heavy when you just went through that."

"You won't touch me?"

"V-Vance, it's not that I don't want to. It's just that—"

"You can fuck me," Vance blurted out.

"Wh—Vance, you...."

"I swear, you can. I don't care, so you can do it as much as you want, just touch me." This was what Blake wanted from him, right? Vance would just give it already if Blake could make this better. "I want you."

"Vance, I... I can't. I don't wanna hurt you."

The rejection in Blake's words hit him too deep, and Vance's face got wet all over again. He shoved at Blake's chest. "Then, why the hell are you even here? You don't even want to touch me?"
