"H-hey San" Wooyoung whispered scared. The older was so quiet not even his breath was heard. Wooyoung's heart actually flipped twice when their lips touched, but he'd rather not when he saw how angry the older got.
"It's- It's o-"
"Just shut up" San growled while his fist slammed on the wheel. The younger flinched at the loudness of the other's voice. He nodded his head once, sinking in his seat.
A second later he heard a long exhale from the boy next to him. "Look," San started, pushing his hair back. "I'm sorry for shouting at you. I am mad at myself not you" he apologized peeking to his right. He felt his heart burn when he saw the sparkling fear in the other's usually bright eyes. "It's fine" Wooyoung replied quietly, scratching on his finger tips.
"No, really" San emphasized. Wooyoung gave him a smile that didn't reach his eyes and he felt like a complete dick. Maybe Yunho wasn't far off. After that they continued the quiet ride.
San's mind was running miles in a matter of seconds, contemplating his own feelings and thoughts. The face of his conservative father flashed before his eyes. They were already at bad terms. Thank heavens he didn't see what happened. San would be sent back to his aunt's house in California. It already happened once during junior high. He wouldn't hesitate a second time.
"San" Wooyoung said alarmed and when the other didn't answer he tapped his shoulder with a trembling hand "San, stop!" The younger yelled. San's sight cleared on time to see the unmoving car in front of them. He quickly stepped on the brakes, both him and Wooyoung moving brutally forward at the sudden stop. He looked at the red traffic light, heart beating fast.
With wide eyes he looked at Wooyoung who had his hand covering his mouth in utter terror. "Oh my God, Woo- Wooyoung! I am so sorry!" San placed a hand on the latter's shoulder. "I-I wa-was thinking, oh my god I'm so so sorry!" He apologized, eyes almost tearing. Wooyoung exhaled loudly, massaging his aching temples. "It's okay." Wooyoung said after he felt the sincerity pouring from the older, it really wouldn't be intentional.
San closed his eyes shut, his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. "Hey, I am not in my right state of mind. Do you mind booking a hotel for tonight?" San asked looking exhausted. Wooyoung didn't even think twice before agreeing. "Definitely. You don't look safe to drive right now." The shorter added.
At that San turned the car towards the blinking lights of a hotel that was close. When they parked the car San walked up to the woman smiling at them. "Hello. We would like a room" he requested. The woman smiled brighter before asking for his name and giving him a key card.
"Come on" San instructed with a hand motioning for the younger to come closer.
At the ding of the elevator they started walking towards their room, and when the door with the number 1024 appeared they scanned their card.
Wooyoung was the first to get in, stopping abruptly at the doorstep, San bumping onto him from behind. "Uh.." the younger uttered. Furrowing his eyebrows San tapped Wooyoung's arm. "What's wrong?" Wooyoung turned 180 stumbling backwards when his nose almost bumped on the older's. "Did you happen to not ask for a room with two beds?"
At the question San cocked his head in confusion. "Well, we are two people, didn't think it was necessary" he shrugged. Wooyoung rubbed his eyes at that in anxiety. "San they thought we're a couple!" Wooyoung whispered shouted, hoping his choice of words would not trigger the silver haired man.
San raised his eyebrows in realization at that, mouth hanging. "Well..." he started off walking further into the room, causing Wooyoung to walk in backwards. Closing the door San smiled. "You can use the floor" we suggested mischievously. The younger chocked a sigh out at that, offended. "Excuse me?" He flipped his hair. "You made the mistake yet I am the one taking the floor? In this winter? You must be crazy" Wooyoung ranted.
San threw his head back in delight as an amused laugh echoed. "I'm kidding. We can use the bed together. It's not a big deal" he said taking off his sweater while heading to the bathroom. Wooyoung's eyes widened comically at the view. He knew San was fit he didn't think he was near as bulky though. His shoulders are wide and his arms are twice his own, in muscle. His upper body, too, had the dips of refined abs, and the tan of his skin tone just turned Wooyoung's mouth in to a desert. Shaking his head when he realized he was checking- or better said gawking openly he cupped his hot cheeks. "What are you doing?" He shouted, cheeks red as a tomato.
"Taking a shower?" San replied, eyes rolling at the obviousness of his actions. "But we don't have second clothes here!" The younger argued. San chuckled at the younger's panicked expression. His hand reached for the bed, before he threw a white roll at Wooyoung. If it wasn't for the latter's reflexes it would hit him right in the face. The shorter glanced down, unfolding the rolled material, revealing a bathrobe.
"We can wash our underwear and leave them dry off" San shrugged his shoulders. "Eh? Y-you want me to sleep naked next to you?" The younger stuttered, blush climbing up his ears. San huffed a laugh away at that. "Well, if wearing a robe is nothing to you; then yes... why do I make you nervous?" San joked but the younger's nod cut his laugh off.
"Yes you do, honestly." Wooyoung rasped before turning away and hiding in the bathroom. Where the fuck did this amount of confidence come from? He quickly undressed, letting the warm water wash the day away.
When he exited the bathroom and saw San standing in front of the big window wall his heart skipped a beat, breath hitching.
How does one act around someone they are interested in who they have to sleep with on the same bed naked?
"I'm done" he announced, feet too heavy to move when San started coming his way. They locked eyes for quite a moment before the older passed by him to get to the washroom. Wooyoung ran to the bed, wrapping himself in the thick blanket. He closed his eyes and soon enough sleep came to him, muting his nagging thoughts.
San massaged the shampoo off his hair when he sighed while opening his eyes. He stared at the ceiling, standing below the running water. He tried to relax but a certain tan teenager occupied his mind, making it run miles yet again.
What is wrong with me; he whined mentally, I barely know him for 3 weeks and we mostly fight! What is happening to me. I am not gay! The boy scolded himself. San shook his head once before he closed the tap and stepped out.
Seeing Wooyoung sleeping peacefully calmed his turmoil. He laid next to the younger, intentionally laying on his side to study the other's features.
He had a beautiful nose. And high cheekbones. His hair looked fluffy. And his eyelashes were long for a man. San spent more minutes looking at Wooyoung's face but eventually sleep intruded his body.
What a day it was today.
