San 'wasted' his remaining days trying to get Wooyoung to talk with him. But, it didn't really work so he decided to find the other in their university.
The younger was practicing one of his dances in the small practice room their school provided. Opening the door slightly, he waited behind it until the other completed his routine; admiring the way the boy moved his body perfectly to the beat. The moment the shorter paused the music he made his presence known, moving further into the room.
When Wooyoung turned around he stopped abruptly at the sight of the older, a scowl welcomed by his face. "What do you want?" He snapped and San scratched his nape awkwardly. "I need to talk to you. Please hear me out, I don't have the luxury of time" San's eyes begged and call Wooyoung weak but he sighed, agreeing with a nod.
Taking a step closer San stared at his feet. "Please can you listen without interrupting me for 3 minutes?" He asked and after the timid nod he received he started talking.
"Look, I know I'm in no place to ask for forgiveness, but i need to be selfish this one time again. Because I don't think I want to lose you. I don't think I can, to be honest. I like you and I like you a lot. Please, let me become a better version of myself for you. Trust me, when I and Seonghwa made that stupid bet we both carried different, immature minds. I admit that it took me ages and caused you a lot of pain until I came to be true to myself. And I'm really sorry about it. Please will you give me just one last chance?" San said, eyebrows furrowed, biting his lower lip anxious.
Wooyoung took a few seconds to compose his words before he decided to speak. "That was more than 3 minutes" he started dumbly and San's breath hitched. "And I don't know what to say San... how many more empty promises are you willing to make? I have given you more chances than I've ever given to myself and every single time I've eaten shit. I am sorry but I think I need to be selfish this once too, because if I don't I'll lose my mind." Wooyoung took a deep breath before he looked at San's devastated expression. "I don't think I have any more chances to give you" he whispered, feeling the need to scream his pain out at his own words. He grimaced at the deafening silence that followed.
"Oh"
Was all San could utter after Wooyoung's words. San took a deep breath to calm himself. After composing himself quickly he smiled, trying to hide his watering eyes before he cleared his throat. "Well, and I will respect that" he started patting the younger's black hair lovingly, treasuring the moment. "I'm sorry I caused you this much pain. Thank you for teaching me how to be honest to myself and I really liked you. I will continue to do so as well." He smiled brighter even though the light didn't reach his eyes. Wooyoung blushed at that, feeling his heart pacing. San dropped his hand, pausing when he turned on his heels. "Please, help Seonghwa get Yeosang back for me. He really loves that kid. Stay healthy." He said lastly before exiting the practice room.
Wooyoung felt anxious suddenly. Why did that sound like a goodbye?

Yeosang laid on his bed recalling Seonghwa's words. He definitely said those fluttering three words. And it almost made Yeosang jump in the other's arms. He thought about all the times he spent with the blonde carefully, trying to desperately find times the other wasn't sincere because his will to stay away was starting to falter. But it was hard. Yeosang never felt awkward around the older. At least, not in a bad, uncomfortable way.
He was perplexed, having been overthinking so much his brain was starting to hurt. But his train of thoughts was interrupted by his startling doorbell.
Getting up he opened the door halfheartedly, sighing in relief when he saw no one other than his best friend behind it. "Hey" they said at the same time, before releasing long sighs.
Yeosang moved out of the way, not bothering to invite the other inside. He invited himself in the moment he decided to come unannounced anyways.
"How are you doing?" Wooyoung whispered after they dropped their bodies on Yeosang's couch. "Good" the younger whispered back before they started laughing at their misery. "God, what is wrong with you" Wooyoung shouted looking at the ceiling. "Why do our lives such this hard?" He chuckled. Yeosang shrugged before he turned his head towards the older.
"Seonghwa said he loves me. But he didn't realize" Yeosang mumbled and Wooyoung gasped. "When? When did you even meet him?" Wooyoung furrowed his eyebrows curiously.
"Earlier he came by." Yeosang let the boy know and the dancer nodded his head. "What about you?" He asked interested. Yeosang rolled his eyes. "Two fucking years Woo. What'd you think?" He replied as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Wooyoung puckered his lips offended at the attitude. "Okay bitch. Sorry" he said defeated.
"I don't know Woo. I don't know what to do" Yeosang ruffled his hair frustrated. Wooyoung pouted at the younger. "San says that Seonghwa loves you as well" he confirmed and it was Yeosang's time to react. "When did you see San?" He asked copying Wooyoung's earlier tone.
"Right before I came" the older replied sighing out. "I told him that I ain't giving him another shot" Wooyoung said softly, his voice trembling at the end. Yeosang stood on his ass at that, wrapping his arms around his friend. "Woo.." he whispered, burying his face in the other's shoulder. The latter's body started to shake slightly and Yeosang wrapped his arms tighter around him, eyebrows meeting in worry.
"We'll get through this together love" Yeosang comforted, running a hand on the other's back softly. Wooyoung nodded before he pushed the boy away, to look him in his eyes while wiping his own teary eyes.
"However, Yeo... you should really consider not throwing this beautiful thing you have with Seonghwa" Wooyoung defended and Yeosang bit his lips.
"I know what he did was wrong and you could say why don't I accept San's apology then. But it's different. Seonghwa cared about you and your feelings, meanwhile San always cared about his own emotions only. Our situations are different... Seonghwa loves you and I really believe my eyes and instincts." Wooyoung explained and Yeosang smiled at the thought of the blonde softly. "Thank you Woo..." he genuinely smiled, glad to have the older in his life.
"How about a sleep over? Let's skip tomorrow. Let's eat burgers until we feel disgusted by the grease!" Yeosang said in fake excitement and Wooyoung's heart warmed at the younger. He smiled at the boy who ran to grab his phone.
God might have a lot of misfortunes reserved for him but at least he let him have Yeosang.
