It wasn't long before the students found out that Anastasia was a professional ballerina and that she will be playing the role of swan queen at the royal opera house.

Some boys tried to get flirty with her, but she quickly turned them down every time and ran away from the situation whenever they tried.

Most girls were nice, but she didn't make any friends. Everyone seemed to hang out only with their group, which made it quite hard to befriend anyone.

Either way, she didn't mind the solitude. She didn't have much time to hang out with anyone, with her everyday practice at night and her courses three times a week.

Anastasia was sitting alone in the university's library, revising her notes before the next course, when two girls approached her and sat on the table where she had a couple of books open.

"Hey, you're Anastasia right?" One of them asked, she had brown hair with highlights and flashing white teeth.

They introduced themselves, the blonde one was Chloe and her friend was Marla, Anastasia saw them before in the cafeteria.

"Yeah i am," Anastasia smiled at them, shifting her attention away from her notebook.

"You're a ballerina right ?" Marla asked, "That's really cool." She said, though she didn't look like she meant it, the two of them were shooting glances to each other.

"Thank you," Anastasia smiled again awkwardly, "What major are you in?" She asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Medicine," They said dryly. Anastasia nodded but before she could say anything, one of them spoke up.

"You're really skinny, is that a ballerina thing?" Anastasia noticed the quick look they shared with each other and knew that they didn't meant it in a nice way.

"Well they're not that strict on diets..." She explained, wanting desperately to finish her work.

They nodded and asked more questions, "So, did anyone catch your attention here?"

Anastasia shook her head no, and shrugged. "I didn't really meet a lot of people yet."

"Well I'm sure when you do you'll find someone." The blonde girl, Chloe said, "There is quite some good looking people here though, none of them catched your eye?"

"No...?" Anastasia said awkwardly, not knowing where the conversation was going.

"There's thomas, John kevin..." They started naming all the 'good looking' students, which Anastasia didn't know half of them, "the cullens, although they are a waste of time and-"

"The Cullens?" Anastasia asked, recognizing the name from Edward Cullen who was also studying literature.

"Yeah, I'm sure you'll recognize them, they're quite eye catchy," They explained, taking turns to speak, "They are all adoptive siblings, Carlisle Cullen, a famous doctor around here, adopted them."

"They're really weird though," Marla grimaced, "I get it, they aren't real siblings, but Jasper and Alice are dating each other, Emmett and Rosalie too..."

"I haven't seen all of them," Anastasia said, the names seeming unfamiliar, "Except for Edward he's in-"

"Oh yeah, Edward" Chloe said bitterly, her smile dropping, "Trust me, don't waste your time."

"I'm not-"

"I'm sure you've seen them all," The brunette insisted, "You've just haven't recognized them."

"Well, there is Rosalie, she's really rude, and her boyfriend Emmett, he's like really buff," The blonde described them to Anastasia, not sounding like she liked them much, "Edward, mister narcissist with way too high standards, there's Jasper who's like really tall and blond and looks like he's suffering, and his girlfriend Alice."

Anastasia looked around nervously, not wanting to be seen gossiping about people she didn't even know.

"Alice is really weird, she's studying graphic design," The other continued, "She has a pixie cut and wears like really strange clo-"

"Hey Anastasia!" Alice greeted, making Anastasia jump and look behind her where the pixie haired girl was standing with a smile on her face. "I'm Alice!"

Anastasia quickly recognized the girl she saw on the train. She looked just as other worldly, with her elfish features and porcelain pale skin.

Chloe and Marla excused themselves and went away, glancing behind them as they walked out the library.

"Hey, i saw you on the train once," Anastasia said as Alice sat beside her, "I love your clothes," Anastasia complemented, admiring Alice's style.

"Thank you!" Alice thanked, "I know, i saw you two, i didn't know you will be coming here at the time."

As Alice continued to chat with her, Anastasia couldn't help but get flabbergasted by the girl's beauty.

Not only that, but she also spoke with genuine enthusiasm, unlike most people Anastasia spoke with who seemed like they were forcing themselves to talk to her.

It was hard not to appreciate Alice's personality like a breath of fresh air.

"So has training been hard?" Alice asked in concern.

"Well yeah, they are really strict and want everything to be perfect," Anastasia explained, having long forgotten about the work she wanted to finish, "But it's fine, i guess it will all be worth it when i perform."

"You're gonna be amazing!" Alice cheered, continuing to ask the brunette questions, wanting to know more about her friend.

They later got out of the library, put on their coats and went on a walk outside since it had stopped raining.

The two continued their talking as if they've been friends for a long time, and only stopped when Jasper approached them.

"You're Anastasia," Jasper slightly smiled at the brunette, though looking slightly worried about something, "I'm Jasper Hale, or Cullen."

Anastasia also recognized him from the train and smiled at him, and for some reason, even though she didn't know what to say, she couldn't feel awkward.

Jasper realized what Edward meant. He saw the slight amount of blood on the inside of her lips, which would usually make him lose control, but he felt completely fine, like she didn't even have blood.

"We're gonna leave now with Rosalie and Emmett," Jasper spoke to Alice, who nodded at him.

"Well I'll see you another time Anastasia," Alice smiled at her and waved goodbye.

Anastasia glanced behind her at the couple as she walked back inside, getting more and more curious about the unusual Cullen family.
