Difference or Love

Chapter 10

Nick is thrown off balance by the punch, and he stumbles back and ends up on his back on the sand. He is stunned and shocked by how quickly Rafe snapped and became violent. He sits up and wipes the sand off his face.

"What the hell is wrong with you? I was just having a bit of fun." he says, glaring back at Rafe. Meanwhile, the other Kooks are all standing around shocked and staring at Rafe and Nick.

Y/n and the other Pogues are having a good time swimming and laughing. But all of a sudden, they hear yelling and shouting from the other end of the beach where the Kooks are. Y/n looks up and sees Rafe and Nick standing off, with the other Kooks nearby. It seems like Rafe has just punched Nick in the face and Nick is sitting in the sand shocked and holding his cheek. Kiara, JJ, Pope, and John B turn to look at Y/n and see her looking up towards Rafe and Nick.

The Pogues and the Kooks watch in shock as the fight escalates between Nick and Rafe. Rafe throws a couple more punches and Nick retaliates, punching Rafe in the chest with his free arm. The rest of the Kooks and the Pogues are watching in fear and excitement as the fight grows more violent and more intense. It is clearly a much bigger deal than anyone expected it to be when it started. Rafe and Nick continue to fight, with no intention of stopping. They are trading blows and landing some hard punches. Nick manages to get a good hit in right on Rafe's eyebrow, resulting in Rafe bleeding heavily from his forehead. Nick sees this fresh blood on Rafe's face and he smiles, seeming excited by the action. He throws in a few more punches and lands a couple more on Rafe, causing him to stumble backward toward the waters edge.

"Enough you two! You're fighting like dogs in fucking heat!"

Everyone stops what they are doing and looks over in shock, including Rafe and Nick. People are surprised that Y/n stepped in to stop the fight. They didn't expect her to get involved. Nick and Rafe are both exhausted and out of breath from the intense fight. They are bruised and bloodied, and they both look up at Y/n with exhausted stares. Nick slowly gets up and looks at Y/n with anger, and he can't believe that she broke up his fight. "Back off, girl." he growls at her.

"Shut up and sit back down, kook. You were losing the fight anyway..." Y/n glares hard up at Nick.

Nick scowls and stares at  Y/n with menace in his eyes as she scolds him. He looks like he's about to explode, but he slowly sits back down into his spot in the sand. Rafe is shocked by  Y/n's intervention. He is also out of breath, and he wipes the blood off his face with his sleeve. "Thanks, Y/n," he says quietly, looking at her with admiration and appreciation. He has never seen her get so protective before.

"Are you okay? That cut looks bad, you might need stitches..."

Rafe looks stunned as  Y/n approaches and touches his face, seemingly caring about him. She puts her hands on his cheek and is looking up at him with concern and affection in her eyes. He is surprised by her gentle touch and by how comforting it is. He is feeling more attracted to her than ever, and he doesn't want her hands to leave his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine." he replies, feeling a bit embarrassed as he looks down. But his voice is soft, and he can't deny that he's really enjoying  Y/n's touch.

"I have a med kit in my car for emergencies that might happen while I surf... let me patch you up."

Rafe nods and looks at Y/n with gratitude. "Okay, thanks." The Kooks are all staring at  Y/n and Rafe, and they seem to be enjoying the show. There's clearly something going on between the two of them, and the Kooks enjoy seeing their tough guy Rafe being taken care of by the Pogue girl  Y/n. Kiara, JJ, Pope, and John B walk over to see what is happening and they all smile and shake their heads as they see the sweet moment between Rafe and  Y/n.

"My car is over the hill there.."
