Difference or Love

Chapter 19

The Pogues make a daring rescue mission on the ship, stealing the treasure back from Rafe. They make it off of the boat with the treasure, but y/n gets captured in the process. Rafe is angry and he is not going to let the Pogues and y/n get away with stealing the treasure. He grabs y/n and holds her hostage, making threats and demands. 

"Give me back the treasure or I'll shoot her!" he shouts at the Pogues.

"Don't do it I'll be fine...I'll find you guys!"

The Pogues are unsure about what to do. They want to leave with the treasure, but they don't want to leave y/n with Rafe. They know that Rafe is aggressive and volatile, and they are worried about what he might do to y/n if they leave her with him. They decide to listen to her and they leave without her, but they tell her that they will find a way to come back for her and get her out of there. They leave with the stolen treasure, but they're concerned about y/n's safety with Rafe.

Rafe has y/n tied up in a dark room, and he is trying to figure out what to do with her. He is furious that the Pogues escaped with the treasure and that they left y/n with him. He is questioning her and trying to get her to tell him where the Pogues went and where the treasure is. He is getting more and more frustrated and angry as she refuses to divulge any information and he is increasingly concerned that she will find a way to escape.

"I wish I never met you... I wish I never loved you."

Rafe's face hardens as he listens to y/n, and he doesn't respond to her statement. The room is dark and he stands over her, trying to intimidate her. Y/n can tell that Rafe is upset and that he is getting more frustrated with her, and she is worried about what he might do to her if she doesn't tell him what he wants to know. She is beginning to regret ever meeting Rafe and falling in love with him.

"I bet you never loved me at all huh? Was dating me just a fun game to you? Wanted to know what dating a Pogue felt like?"

Rafe's face remains cold and emotionless as he hears Y/n's angry words. He doesn't respond to her question about whether he ever loved her, and instead he continues to press her about the Pogues and the treasure. Y/n doesn't know what to say. She is wondering if Rafe ever really loved her, and if their whole relationship was just a game for him. She is angry and hurt and she is feeling conflicted about Rafe and her past feelings for him.

"You can go ahead and kill me like your father tried... I'm not telling you shit."

Y/n's words hit a nerve with Rafe, and he looks angry and frustrated as he listens to her. He steps closer to her and raises the gun in his hand, pointing it at y/n. "I'll kill you right here and right now if you don't tell me what I want to know,"  he hisses at her. Y/n looks scared, but she is determined not to give in to his threats. She is going to hold firm and not tell him anything about the location of the Pogues or the stolen treasure.

Y/n looks him dead in the eyes, "Go ahead..."
