Mitchy tumbles to the ground, her pink pointe shoes following her. Elvis drops the pink roses, his keys following.

"Oh dear god! I am terribly sorry!" Elvis grabs the ballerinas hand, pulling her off the ground.

"This is the second time I bumped into y'a. Sorry, lil' lady." The innocent Tupelo boy gives the stubborn Memphis girl a smirk as they stand face to face.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't watchin' where I was goin'"

Mitchy picks ups her pointe shoes off the ground, now with a dent in the right one and scoffs on both.

"Your shoes! I'm so sorry, truly! I can get y'a a new pair...I don't know how much they cost and I sure don't got enough money-"

"Oh no! Their perfect! I have to break em' in anyways so I don't hurt myself. And I'm a dancer so they'll get even more dirty than this." The brunette gives the boy a nudge on the arm with her elbow.

The pair laugh as 5'2 Mitchy looks up at the 6'0 Elvis in the middle of the Humes parking lot.

"Are you really sure I can't do anything about them shoes?" Elvis says, with a sympathetic tone.

"No I'm fine- these are fine. Nice flowers! Might wanna get 'em off the ground. And y'a keys too."

Elvis quickly turns around a picks up his items, letting out a laugh of embarrassment.

"Ha- thanks. Would've forgotten about those." Light chuckles filled the air, both teens checks turning pink.

"Who's the flowers for?" The girl points at the pink roses in Elvis' hand.

"Oh! Huhh for a family friend. Haven't met the girl but I hope she's nice. You know..don't like mean people."

"Yeah I get it. Especially with segregation and all that." Mitchy let's put a sigh, her head bowed low.

"I hope things change." Looking up at the boy Mitchy looks for a reactions.

He had the same expression as her.

"I do too. Just...all this hate for no reason." Mitchy nods in agreement.

"Well! I have to go unfortunately. My dance team is gonna kill me! I'm already running late."

Elvis nodded with disappointment in his left eyes.

"Do you mind..looking for me? During the show and maybe..after the show?" Mitchy nervously waits for an answer.

"Y-yeah! Yeah of course! I don't mind one bit." Elvis' frown turned into a smile.

"O-ok! I'll see you then?"

"See you then! Good luck!" The two began to walk off as the wave to eachother.

Elvis stopped in his tracks while walking around the corner of the school.

"Wait! I didn't get your name, little lady!"

Mitchy turns around, handle on the backstage door.

"It's Mitchelle! Mitchelle Levi. You can call me Mitchy." Mitchy give the boy a smile.

Elvis returns the smile, looking down trying to hide the heat rushing to his cheeks.

Levi? Where have I heard that before? Elvis thought.

Even tho the boy was confused, he couldn't help but smile even more.

"What's your name handsome?" Mitchy leans against the railing of the concert stairs.

"I'm Elvis! Elvis Presley."

"It was nice meeting you, Elvis." Mitchy bites her lips and she looks at her new...'friend'.

"It's was nice talkin' to y'a Mitchy. I'll see y'a soon."

"I'll be seein' y'a, Elvis."

With that, the two part ways. Neither of them could get each other off their minds.

'Mitch' He thought.

'Elvis' She thought.

If love at first sight is really a thing...the two just had it. The future has a lot to hold for these two. We'll just have to wait and see.
