Andrea's POV

After a while, I was finally able get the whole story out of Rhea. She couldn't stop crying. She didn't eat or sleep. It was almost like when Brian broke up with me. I reacted the exact same way. She hasn't been watching any devils games, or really any hockey games as a matter of fact. What made it worse was that we were famous, so we couldn't really go anywhere without someone seeing us. It's not like Rhea wanted to go anywhere, anyway.

A few days after I came back to Jersey, I obviously had to go food shopping because we had no food. After I came back, someone knocked on our door. I open it and see our neighbor standing there. She was a short older lady, and she was really nice to us.

"Hi, I hope I'm not bothering you right now,"

"Oh, no, you're not. Come in."

Rhea was in her room, and with her being upset I know it was probably better for us to have our privacy. But like I said, Beth is nice and I didn't want to be rude to her.

"So how are you?" Beth asked. "I haven't seen either of you guys in so long where have you been?"

"Oh, Rhea moved in with her boyfriend and I'm staying with mine for a while in California."

We sat down on the barstools we have by the island in our kitchen.

"That's so nice to hear! What brings you guys back?"

Oh god. What am I supposed to tell her?

"Oh, well, me and Rhea haven't seen each other in a while so we decided to stay here with just us two. You know how inseparable we are."

"Yes. You guys are always together!" She joked.

"Yeah. So what have you been up to?" I said before she asked any other questions. I knew she was probably going to ask where Rhea was.

"Oh, y'know, Old lady stuff. With my grandkids all the time. I got another cat, too."

"That's so nice! What's the name?"

"Her name is Velma."

"That's great. I love that name!"

As soon as I said that, Rhea walked out of her room. She looked like a wreck. She put her hair in a bun earlier, but now it's all over the place, with her hair tie hanging on by a thread. She's wearing a dark blue hoodie and dark gray sweatpants. She was tired, her eyes were puffy, and she overall just looked like 40 miles a bad road.

She had her head down the whole time, but of course Beth had to say something.

"Oh my gosh, hi Rhea!"

She was startled. "Oh, hi." She kind of gave me that look like what is she doing here.

"How are you?" It was obvious that Rhea was horrible, but she was trying to be nice without straight up saying, "you look awful".

"Alright," Rhea sort of smiled.

"You looked like you just woke up."

"Well that's 'cause I just did." Rhea tried to fake laugh.

She grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and tried to avoid any other conversation with her, but with Beth being a curious old person, that inevitably failed.

"So I heard you moved in with your boyfriend, where are you living now?"

Her head was in the fridge, but I could still see her looking up with a "oh no" kind of look.

"Hoboken," she shortly answered.

"That's wonderful! What does he do for a living?"

Rhea was getting really pissed off and she was about to cry again.

"He's uh- a hockey player." She started quickly walking back to her room.

"Wow. Is he famous like you or?"

"Yeah. My boyfriend too." I started speaking so Rhea can leave. "They're both in the NHL."

"Oh, gosh! That's really amazing!"

"Yeah," I nervously laughed as Rhea went back to her room.

"Is she alright?" Beth questioned.

"Yeah," I tried quickly thinking of an excuse to tell her. Then I remembered that Rhea told me Salvatore was still with Jack. "It's just that Salvatore was really sick and we had to put him down. I wasn't really attached to him as much as Rhea was, but it's still really upsetting." That is the biggest lie I ever had to tell anyone.

"Oh, no. I'm so sorry. I didn't even realize. Wow."

"Oh, please, don't worry about it. It's all good."

"Alright. Well, I'm gonna get out of your hair now. It was nice seeing you!" She said as she started walking to the front door.

"Yes, you too!"

"If you ever need anything, know I'm right here." She pointed to the direction her apartment was in.

"Okay, thanks." I said as she left.

~~time skip~~

It's been like a month and a half since I came here for Rhea. She hasn't gotten any better, and she keeps wishing that Jack would text her or something. But he didn't. He's also been playing horribly and barely got any goals or assists. Rhea doesn't want to text him herself, so she tried something else.

They still follow each other on Instagram, so she decided to post a video of her crying on her story. Her fans would obviously go crazy and be like what's going on, and Jack will inevitably see it. Only he'll know why she's like that, so it'll put more pressure on him, which is, in a way, what she kind of wants. She said she wants him to see a visual instead of just texting him.

So, Rhea ended up doing that, and immediately fans started freaking out. A few hours later, I was laying on her bed with her on tiktok. I see a video of a part of an interview Jack was doing the same night. I was going to skip it, but Rhea immediately looked at my phone, indicating she wanted to watch it.

He looked really upset, and a lot of people were wondering why because he had won the game he had that night. Even the interviewer suspected something.

"So how have things been between you and Rhea?" Is the question the video started with, as the interviewer was saying it.

"Oh-uh, um, we're fine." Jack replied.

"You guys have been quiet on social media. You still living together?"

Rhea frequently posted on pictures of her and Jack on her story. Now, obviously, that all stopped.

"Uh, y-yeah we're still together." Jack tried nervously laughing.

Rhea looked up at me.

We were staring at each other until I broke the silence. "He still cares about you, Rhea."

"He's trying to protect me. He doesn't want to say anything about it." Her eyes starting tearing up.
