Jamie's POV
Stefanie just came back to Toronto yesterday, and she said that she wanted to hang out today. We decided to meet up at this cafe in Toronto. I was purposely late, because I hate being the person to wait for the other person. She was already sitting there, so I went up and sat across from her.
"Hey," I said, sitting down.
She looked up from her phone and replied, "oh, hey," smiling.
It was awkward at first, since we just started talking and this was the first time we were meeting in person.
"I didn't know what you like, so I just got you what I ordered. An iced coffee with milk and sugar."
"Thanks. That's about what I usually get anyway."
We started talking about our lives and a bunch of other boring stuff, like what she does for a living, and how I'm a hockey player and whatnot. She's apparently been a hockey fan for a while, and she really knew what she was talking about. She was pretty cool, and we have a lot in common.
She's quiet, but once we started talking she was more outgoing and she had a good sense of humor.
After a while, we decided to leave and walk around Toronto together. We both grew up here, and knew the area well.
At first, I didn't really know what I was doing. I mean, she was cool to talk to, but I didn't like her like that. I wasn't nervous as if I liked her, I really didn't care. She seemed more like a hookup than anything else, but at the same time she was a cool friend.
"So," she started a different topic. "Do you know why everyone is like begging for us to be together? Like, Rhea just called me this morning to see if we are still talking."
"Yeah, I don't know. Even Trevor kept texting to see. Maybe they just wanna see us pull." We both laughed.
"Probably. They got nothing else better to do."
After a while of walking, she suggested that we go back to her place.
"My parents are on vacation, so they're not gonna be home for a while," she told me. I know what hint she's trying to give me.
"Alright, give me your address," I said. She did and we went to her place. We were talking for the past 3 or 4 hours, so there was really nothing else for us to do but hookup. Which is exactly what we did. Nothing about her really amazed me, she was just cool to relate to.
The next morning, I went back to my place. Then I saw I had gotten a text from Trevor.

I just met Stefanie and I didn't want to make it look like I was a weirdo, so I gave it a few weeks before asking if she wanted to go to Michigan with me. In between these few weeks, we continued to talk a lot and hung out more.
