"Hi, I'm Korra, I'll be your personal trainer." The woman said.

Asami eyed her up and down. The tanned woman was fit, that much was true, but she had been led to believe she was some sort of amazing body builder or something. What she saw was a little different. The woman looked a little pudgy, but she could just be curvy. That was when Asami realized she had been silent too long, staring at the stranger's body, and that she was supposed to be saying something.

"Yes, hello. Nice to meet you, I'm Asami." Asami said, shaking the woman's hand that was offered. It was warm to the touch and Asami thought it felt nice, even with callouses on them from lifting weights.

"Nice to meet you as well. So what are your goals for personal training?" Korra asked.

"Well, my two year wedding anniversary just passed and I attempted to try on my wedding dress the other day, you know, for fun, and it didn't fit anymore. So, I just thought that I'd like to get ahead of this weight gain before it gets more out of hand."

"Ok. How many pounds are you wanting to lose then?"

"About ten. Maybe fifteen."

"Well, you've come to the right place. Any medical conditions I should know about?"

"Nope, I'm pretty healthy. I just don't want to turn into that housewife that sits around and eats chocolate all day." Asami said, with a little laugh. She had already turned into that, except that she drank wine instead of eating chocolate.

"Let's get started then." Korra said with a wink and a lopsided smile.

They started on the treadmill and Korra put Asami through an easy warm-up, followed by a vigorous workout. She surprised Asami by checking on her form and giving a few pointers, but then getting on the treadmill next to her as well. Korra kept giving her pointers and telling her when it was time to increase the speed or incline.

Asami thought the burn in her lungs felt good. It felt amazing to feel something after so long of feeling numb. She had no idea when her relationship had gone downhill, but it had. She barely saw Iroh, and when she did, they only spoke in docile pleasantries. It hadn't even been two years into the marriage, but if she were honest with herself, it had been before the wedding that they had started losing touch with each other. She had been so busy with the wedding planning though that she hadn't seen it. And even if she had, she wasn't sure she would have done anything about it then. They were turning into the typical high power New York couple: lots of money with little love between them.

"Ok, start easing off." Korra said, breaking Asami out of her thoughts.

"What's next?" Asami asked her, after they had done a cool down on the treadmill.

"Let's do some stretches and calisthenics." Korra said.

"Some...what?"

"You know...working the abs and such. Let's go to the mats."

And so they did crunches and squats and lots of other things she knew she would feel in the morning. Korra gave her some stretches as homework before their next session. After that, Asami left the gym and went back home.

The gym and her apartment were both on the Upper East Side. The gym was only a few blocks away from her apartment but she was already feeling the workout. She was also already looking forward to her next session with the woman.

She greeted the doorman and took the elevator to the place she called home. She opened the door and sighed. Iroh's keys weren't in the bowl next to the door, which meant he wasn't home yet. Asami thought he might have left the office on time tonight, she had asked him to, but of course he didn't.
