Kanae's breath keeps it's fast pace. This sight was horrifying. She had no idea what to do. And now, one was going to die. All she could do, say, think, and feel was undeniable guilt, fear, and pain. She sees Takahashi lightly grunt, turning back, looking for anything.

She looks up, her vision hazy and mind tired. She sighs, keeping herself steady. Seeing her unamused state, Takahashi smiles. "Answer the question, Kocho!" he says softly, keeping the gun to the man's head.

"Me."

Takahashi and Sanemi whip their heads to her. Kanae has her head held high, with a determined face on. Takahashi cringed, not expecting it to actually be her answer.

He never thought much of her. A spoiled rich brat, who's only kind for a perfect-girl image, protect someone, offering their life so young. He was surprised.

Kanae sighs, closing her eyes, but keeping the steely look on her face. He clenches his teeth together, and grunts in anger. "Here's a deal." he says, words spewing like lava, ready to hurt and kill. Kanae opens her eyes, knowing she shouldn't be, interested.

"I'll keep both of you alive if you marry me." he says, his grip on Sanemi loosening. Both blinked, and Kanae found herself in a stalemate. Ruin her life or die. No way out.

No where to go after this. As she looks up, she knows the correct answer. She sighs, feeling the weight of loss begin to lay itself on her, bit by bit

It's been, what, a month since then?

Kanae sure didn't know, being locked in her once lovely room. Not much had changed in her room though. The same beautiful furniture littered it, with pins and bows neatly arranged on her nightstand. Everything contributing to a purple-ish theme.

But, the room had more will than her. Comparing a soul to a load of unliving things is quite the comparison, and yet, it was valid. She never did much but lay in bed, shivering away (Blankets were no longer seen as prisoner friendly)

A hole had been shot right through her heart. She felt empty, like nothing kept her happy or even there. Somewhere in her mind, she never was truly there. Some of her was here, some of her was there.

But nothing got a full load of her.

She felt dead. No light, no family, no friends, and no Sanemi. No goodbye's either.

He had shoved her into the room, and left her there, only occasionally opening the door to throw her scraps of food. Her family fought a lot, though. Trying to convince him to get Kanae out was no easy task, and it never happened. But now, they were all out at the market, doing god knows what.

But, luckily the wedding hadn't happened, although it would in a week.

This time, no sleezy change the date wedding. A real, scheduled one. And if she didn't apply, Sanemi wouldn't be seen again. The near thought of it crushed her into an even bloodier pulp.

A knock came from the door, and Kana barley glanced up. The door creaked open, and something fell to the floor. Kanae barley mumbled a 'thanks'

" 'Thanks'? Only?! I must really be losing my touch, if you can't even thank your savior," a voice laughed happily, and Kanae shot up, realizing the occupier.

Sanemi sat next to her, grinning ear to ear as Kanae studied him, unsure if her was real or a so-needed dream.

"You're here," she said breathily, eyes wide. "Yup," he said in the same tone, keeping his smile. "But, how?" Kanae asked, before looking onto the floor and spotting two thing hairpins.

"As one of the poorest people in the city, I've had my fair share of being robbed and locked out of my own house." Sanemi says, taking both her hands and clasping them to his. Kanae studies them with a dazed expression on her face.

"Soo, how's your Innocent little fiancé doing?" he asks. "No clue, been shut up in here for awhile now. A month, maybe, but whose counting?" she replied blandly. Sanemi's eyes narrow, feeling sympathy flow through him.

"I think you might like a little garden walk, what do you think?" he asks, his smile returning.

"Yours truly is a bit afraid of getting in trouble at the moment." Kanae says blandly. "You're mine truly? How sweet! Anyway, trouble happens if you get caught," he says standing up in front of her. "And yours truly is good at this kind of stuff." Kanae tilts her head up, seeing him smile.

"So, mine truly, you in or out?" he asks coolly, extending his hand in front of her.
