'Lose you'

"Good Morning, Kanae."
Her mother's soft voice sturs her from her light sleep, and the pale-eyed girl opens her eyes softly, lashes shining in the morning sun.
"Breakfast is ready," Chouka adds softly, excusing herself and backing away from the door, leaving Kanae by herself.
Kanae sits up, watching her expression in the mirror opposite her bed. Her lilac eyes were glowing, heaven shimmering in their favored human. Her long, black hair was tangled, but her bangs were fine.
She sat up, rubbing her eyes and taking in her shadow against the floor, before stepping up.
She loved the morning, everything about it made her feel refreshed, renewed even. "Haki," she called out softly, and her tight-bunned maid appeared.
Her morning routine started soon after, brushing her hair as her maid shuffled through her closest, finding an outfit for the day.

Kanae walked down the steps gracefully, flanked by Haki. They soon took their separate ways, the girl to her breakfast table and the woman to the maids room. Kanae twisted around the narrow hallway, her swishing-armed purple outfit staying on her tightly.
She finally found her family sitting at the table. Hiroshi, her father, sat opposite of her little sister Shinobu, and the two seemed to be arguing.
"Shinobu, no matter what, it isn't your place to violate rude children, it's the teacher's job." Hiroshi spoke first, calm and collected. Shinobu's response wasn't as such.
"He was annoying me! He was taunting me, and stealing my things! And, he almost stole my hair clip before I slapped him!" she replied, teeth clenched with suppressed rage. Hiroshi shook his head, "Then tell an adult before something like that were to happen. I know you're fully aware of his strict parents, young lady, and you know he isn't worth this fuming mess you're going through." he countered, watching Shinobu get angrier.
"It's better to bitch slap him!" Shinobu yelled, and Kanae sighed, feeling herself chant spoiled in the back of her mind.
She played with the broach she had just bought from the market, shiny and black. It was gorgeous, dark rhimbstones shining as her family quarreled.
Shinobu then stormed off in a rage, leaving her parents dumbfound. Kanae found it hard to believe the attitude Shinobu bore today.
Then again, she is as beautiful as she is stubborn

"Nemi! I'm hungry!"
Sanemi looked down to see his miny sister, Sumi, with an angry-to-tears expression written across their face.
Sanemi understood the girl's growing hunger pains, as he had them as well when he was small. But that time around, she wouldn't be for long, as he was working towards making enough money for all his other siblings. Soon, they would dine in luxury, courtesy to Sanemi.
In his dreams, maybe, Sanemi thought, glazing down at his worn pants and broked pockets, not a coin in sight.
"I'll buy some at the market right now!" he said with a smile, bringing himself back from his mind and into the present. Sumi cheered, throwing her hands up, and Sanemi felt his brain twinge with guilt.
Out of all people, Sumi didn't need to starve. The gorgeous, blue-eyed, sassy girl had a bright future ahead of her, and she needed food to make it there. He turned from her, after patting her softly on the head, and toward the door.
