Mission : Retrieve the old friend

Megatronus swiftly headed through the ground bridge after Miko turned it on. As soon as she had, he'd plucked her from the spot she'd stood and rested her in the small indent near his neck. She peeked out and he could feel her tiny fingers carefully gripping his armour. They were exactly where she said they'd be. In the cave where his first battle on earth was. A pathetic and humiliating one at that but he would redeem himself. He snuck around decently despite his massive size and brightness. He knew taking the lift itself would be too risky with all of these troops around. He'd have to knock them out fast in his jet for. He whispered to Miko a warning.
"I'm going to have to transform but my vehicle mode doesn't have a seat for humans as it's a strictly cybertronian model. You're going to be in the holding bay of it so hold onto anything you can tight ok?"
The human nodded, seeming incredibly giddy. He transformed and flew into over a dozen troops, knocking them out instantly. He fired at any others he couldn't hit. Within minutes the area was cleared. He transformed and stepped into the lift, holding Miko in his hand. He'd felt and heard her getting tossed around pretty bad. She looked alright, a bit dizzy but uninjured. As the lift brought them up her murmured,
"Are you alright?"
She give him a thumbs up.
"Just dizzy. But that was awesome!"
Megatronus tried to smile but he could sense he was going to be in so much trouble when he got back to base. But he wouldn't return unless he had Soundwave. The lift stopped and they were now in the cargo section of the warship. Megatronus snuck around on high alert, staying as quiet as possible for a Mech like him while also tucking Miko back to the indent in his neck. They slid around in silence but there was no sign of Soundwave. Megatronus was starting to get anxious. Where on this planet was he?! Suddenly a door opened and Megatronus ducked behind the wall, covering Miko with one hand. His eyes widened as he saw who was stepping out. Soundwave! He was alive! Primus he was so slender now... But he was alive! Despite the thought that he could totally want to hurt him, he rushed over and pulled Soundwave around the corner after quickly putting Miko on the floor. She fell back onto her rear but Megatronus was too overjoyed to see his old friend. He gripped Soundwave in a tight embrace and did his best to keep his excitement quiet.
"Thank the stars and Primus himself! You're alive!"
Soundwave was trembling in his grip. His deep voice suddenly rung out, the soundwaves of his voice appearing on his screen.
"Megatronus. You're free,"
"I am old friend! I'm so sorry I couldn't help you,"
That earned him a gentle shake from Soundwave.
"Do not blame yourself. I'm sorry I couldn't save you,"
Megatronus took the darker mechs hands.
"It's alright. Don't blame yourself either. Now let's get you out of here. Gigawatt can't use anything against you now,"
Soundwave nodded. Megatronus picked up Miko and again rested her near his neck.
"You two seem to go way back,"
She said as the pair of cybertronians walked quietly.
"Indeed,"
Meagtronus answered. Soundwave interrupted.
"Memory lane can wait. Right now we gotta get out of here,"
Megatronus nodded. Soundwave put his hand out to stop Megatronus.
"Wait here. Then when I give my signal, you rush in. I'll have everyone out cold then we can jump out. Then you can bridge us back,"
Megatronus nodded. Soundwave entered the cargo. Silence, then a quiet murmuring. The clanging of battle and blast of gunfire. Yelling. Then silence again. Then Soundwave lifted his arm and beckoned him inside. Megatronus rushed in and the headed down the lift and bolted from the cave. Once out of a certain radius of the cave Megatronus commed the Autobot base.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?"
Ratchet spoke first, other voices murmuring and yelling in the background. Oh he was going to get beaten to death when he got back.
"Where have you been?! Is Miko with you?! Where did you take her?!"
Megatronus laughed nervously.
"She's with me Ratchet but you see it's a funny story actually-"
A groundbridge opened and interrupted him.
"Get. Home. Now."
Megatronus murmured a short prayer to Primus before grabbing Soundwave by the hand and pulling him through.

When he stepped through the yelling quieted as soon as eyes fell on Soundwave. Megatronus put his arm in front of Soundwave to defend, should any react aggressively.
"Don't attack. He's an ally. An ally that's been a prisoner since the war started,"
He quickly picked Miko off his neck and set her back down. Bulkhead and the other humans rushed to her. Asking if she was alright and if Meagtronus had taken her prisoner.
"You've got a lot of explaining to do, Megatronus,"
Arcee said coldly. Megatronus straightened.
"And explain I shall,"
His gaze turned to Optimus. Soundwave put a gentle hand on his shoulder and Megatronus gave it a tap.
"I wasn't going to wait any longer. I had to rescue him. I didn't even know if he was alive, or his own Mech anymore. You wouldn't tell me anything. So I had to take matters into my own hands. Miko just so happened to spot me trying to plan something,"
He sighed as gazes of shock, frustration and overall tiredness landed on him.
"She gave me an offer I couldn't pass up. If she bridged me back to where the warship was previously stationed I could get to Soundwave there. But I had to take her with me,"
"So you decided to take a human child onto a warship filled with highly trained Decepticon warriors?!"
It was June who yelled at him. He rubbed the back of his head.
"Not the most responsible of me but I was desperate. She wasn't harmed,"
He paused wondering if he should mention the potential bruising she could've gotten but decided against it as was he was already in enough trouble.
"Her idea worked. I got Soundwave back and now he's free from being ordered around and controlled by Gigawatt,"
Soundwaves hand slipped off Megatronus' shoulder. He decided to speak for himself now. Everyone seemed surprised he could.
"Now that I know Megatronus is safe and sound, Gigawatt holds no threats to bind me to his cause anymore. I can be of valuable assistance to you,"
Everyone seemed sceptical of him, for good reason Megatronus supposed but it did make him slightly irritated. Ratchet suddenly spoke, pointing at Megatronus.
"Let's get one thing clear. You are not to leave the base at all for two weeks after this stunt you've pulled! You've scared as all half to death AND brought a human into the Decepticon warship,"
Meagtronus stood there and took it. Not the worst punishment he's ever gotten but the public lecture was somewhat embarrassing. Then Ratchet turned to Miko and pointed at her.
"And you! No guitar or the concert for two weeks!"
Bulkhead looked away as Miko's jaw dropped.
"TWO WEEKS?! RATCHET THE CONCERT!"
"I don't want to hear it,"
Ratchet said crossing his arms. Optimus put his hands on Megatronus and Soundwaves shoulders, Soundwave flinching at the touch. It made Megatronus' spark hurt.
"You two should come with me,"
The pair obeyed, walking away from the back and forth of the human girl and the angry medic.
