Secret within the statue

Plan in motion

Megatronus approached Optimus with his plan. The Prime gathered his team around and Megatronus was still surprised and proud that his once little friend was now a tall, broad Prime, giving orders in such a commanding voice but still keeping the gentle tones that Megatronus used to know back in the day. His little, archivist friend was now the last of the Primes. Megatronus had to stop thinking about it or he would get emotional in front of everyone and he needed to keep it calm and focus. This was important.
"Tell us what's on your mind, old friend. You said you've created a plan?"
Megatronus nodded and Soundwave stepped closer.
"Soundwave still has the ability to lock onto the ship because of how deep his was put into the Decepticon systems. With this, we can get back to Gigawatts warship and take him down. For good,"
"But how will we do that? Not only is he incredibly powerful, but he has plenty of strong and loyal followers. How can we possibly take him down?"
Arcee questioned sternly. She wasn't putting him down, she was just confused and even a bit stressed which Megatronus understood.
"The plan is, you will act as a diversion so I can get bridged to Gigawatt on my own,"
They stared at him. Even the humans who were standing nearby on the elevated platform were shocked.
"You cannot take him down on your own!"
It was Ratchet who stepped forward now and pointed an accusatory digit at him. His optics were wide with anger and worry. It was a bit touching.
"Which is why I won't be alone. Soundwave will be with me as well. I just need you all to distract the other Decepticons for as long as you possibly can for me and Soundwave to stop him. He will bridge you in first then will send him and I in separately on a different part of the ship,"
Megatronus held up his silver servo to stop anyone's protests.
"I may not have put up a good fight against him the first time you saw me but that was because I was still weak with the venom from the statue and the countless stellar cycles of being trapped in there without energon or being able to move. Not to mention that Soundwave and myself were gladiators before my kidnapping, like Gigawatt himself. We have a better chance together but only if you can be a distraction. We need Gigawatt alone,"
Soundwave nodded in agreement, always there to back Megatronus up.
"This is a big risk you're taking, old friend. For all of us,"
"I wish it wasn't but I suppose that's just the way of battle isn't it? Gigawatt must be stopped. No matter the cost,"
Optimus put a gentle servo on his shoulder and nodded with those bright blue optics of his. He nodded then turned to his Autobots.
"Autobots, prepare yourselves for battle. We are going to follow Megatronus' plan and end the fighting once and for all,"

Megatronus oiled his joints and offered Laserbeak an energon shard. The minicon trilled and accepted it as Soundwave paced.
"We've got this, Soundwave. It will be just like old times,"
The faceless Cybertronian scoffed. He was anxious about the upcoming fight and had every right to be, despite Megatronus' attempts to lighten the mood.
"There will never be days like that again, Megatronus and I know you know that,"
Megatronus sighed and stroked Laserbeaks wings.
"I know, my dearest friend. But if we do this correctly the fighting will be over. And maybe Optimus Prime will be a different ruler of Cybertron. He's more open to change,"
"And if he tries to enslave us like before?"
"You know he won't. Optimus, Orion, was never like that. Remember? He agreed with my writings,"
"When all of this is over do you think we can write again?"
"We can fill the libraries with our work, Soundwave. When we win, you'll write me a poem won't you?"
"Only if you write me one first,"

Soundwave typed in the coordinates to the warship and spoke.
"I'm going to be dropping you all off near the med bay. Knockout and Breakdown usually reside there with Starscream either for chit chat or because Starscream was punished again. Either way, there should be two to three. Do you think you can handle it?"
There was a collective nod between the others. Soundwave continued before anyone could question the large number of troops; the Eradicons and Vehicons.
"After you open the bridge and jump through, immediately start firing. Catch them off guard so they can't call for others' backup. It will be easier to handle them without any troopers firing as well. Then, Megatronus and I will bridge into the main control room, assuming Gigawatt will be there most. He's probably scrambling to decode those other Iacon relics you hadn't decoded for him yet when you were suffering memory loss, Prime. Are we clear?"
Another collective nod.
"Good luck,"
Megatronus said, nodding at them. The bridge opened and Optimus, Arcee, Bulkhead and Bumblebee sprinted through. Ratchet remained to man the bridge and also the fact that the medic wasn't as great at fighting as his teammates. He always looked ashamed about that which made Megatronus feel bad for him. Soundwave turned to Megatronus.
"Ready?"
"You know I always am,"
Soundwave opened his own bridge and the two walked through, side by side.
