I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Eunae's words echoed in my mind: "Jeonghan is your stepbrother." Everything suddenly made sense—the constant favoritism, the unexplained affection Appa showed him. Appa had taken all of Mom's savings to buy Jeonghan a birthday present, leaving me without the money I needed for next month's school fees. The betrayal cut deep.
Furious, I locked myself in my room. Jeonghan, with his smug face and the audacity to call me "not pretty," made my blood boil. He had always looked down on me, and now I knew why. But his arrogance wouldn't go unpunished. I remembered him boasting about his prized Ruby, a rare and valuable gem he cherished more than anything. If I took it, it would hit him where it hurt the most.
The plan formed in my mind. Stealing Jeonghan's Ruby would be the perfect revenge. It wasn't just about the gem's value; it was about showing him and Appa that I wouldn't be overlooked or underestimated. They needed to feel the same sense of loss and betrayal that I did.
As I plotted my next move, I couldn't help but imagine Jeonghan's reaction when he discovered his beloved Ruby missing. The thought brought a smile to my face. This was just the beginning. I would reclaim my place and make sure they both understood that I wasn't someone to be disregarded. I was ready to take back control, starting with Jeonghan's most prized possession.

We are leaving for LA in a few days. It's 4 a.m., and I'm finally going to sleep. Mom and I just finished burying Appa's dead body in our backyard. Like any other day, he was asking for money and beating Mom, but today, I'd had enough. I went to the basement and found a big hammer—perfect for knocking someone out. So I simply smacked him on the head, and he was dead.
I got some blood on my hands, too. It was nasty—the nasty blood of a nasty, ugly person who never loved me. But now that he's gone, he can't favor Jeonghan anymore. I'm happy. You're not Appa's favorite anymore, Jeonghan.

Today was Appa's funeral. The local police declared him dead and assumed some loan sharks killed him because of his debts. I don't blame them; my father was a gambler and owed a lot of people money. But the main thing is, Jeonghan and his mother came to visit Appa's grave.
I hate how Jeonghan was looking at me from the car. I hate both of them. I wish I could kill them too. Appa is finally gone now, but this guy still had to come to show he is Appa's favorite. I hate you, Yoon Jeonghan. I'll murder you someday.

It's currently 1 a.m., and like any other day, I'm writing this to note another progress. My mother finally took me to the party I've been begging her to, and guess what? I met Choi Seungcheol. We're at McDonald's now. I watched all the Marvel movies beforehand, learned how to master video games, and that's all it took to bond with him.
I know he broke up with Jeonghan a few months ago. Of course, Chan was the one who provoked Aerum. That woman caught them cheating, and now she and Seungcheol are engaged. Finally, I got your precious Ruby, Jeonghan. Seungcheol will be mine soon, and I'll wait to see you fully suffer. That's my motto now.
_
Today, Seungcheol finally declared our engagement in front of the media. I'm sure Jeonghan knows about it by now. Joshua is married to a guy, but will it even last? Especially when it's Joshua—he just can't stay loyal to anyone. I'll come for you, Joshua, once I take my revenge on Jeonghan. And, of course, Mingyu. How could I forget that bastard who sent me that wonderful portrait? It's all in ashes now, thanks to my cigarette.
