Fourteen

Hannah knew how she was trying to make things work with Jamie. She was having his baby. And while it wasn't going to be easy, she somehow had to make it all work.

Hannah and Jamie hadn't established what they even were. They were having a baby and that seemed to be it.

Things were slightly awkward between them. And she just didn't know how to feel about it. Part of her wanted something more.

But he was a Tate. She was a Dingle. And despite how well things seemed to be, it was still awkward.

Hannah knew how she was living at Home Farm for the sake of baby. She felt as though Kim didn't really want her there. That she was only putting up with her for the sake of the baby.

Adalynn had been great. She had been made her feel welcome and told her that if she needed anything, to let her know. And she would help her.

All she knew was that she needed to somehow make it work. Despite how hard it was going to be. But she was doing all she could for the baby.

Things were hard. And she had to do all she could to make it work out for her and the baby.

Morning came and she woke in bed. The door opened and adalynn walked in. She smiled. "Hey. How are you preggers?" She asked.

"I'm okay. Just a little tired. Where's Jamie?"

"He's gone to town. Something about a poorly horse. He said I'm to keep you company until he's back," Adalynn told her.

Hannah nodded and smiled. She looked to her. "Well. You can babysit me and the baby."

Adalynn rolled her eyes. She climbed into bed next to her best friend. "So I did a thing last night. And I don't want to be judged."

"Go on?"

"I had sex with Graham. And now he won't stop looking at me. My mum seems to think there's something going on. She's not wrong. I just need to vent."

Hannah rolled her eyes. She looked to her. "You're an idiot. You know that," she said.

"I know."

Hannah and Adalynn were in town. Hannah saw her mum and smiled. "Hey."

"Hey. How's it going in the big house?" Chas asked.

Adalynn smiled. "I'm off to a chemist. Some of us made mistakes and can't have repercussions from said mistake," she said as she walked off.

Chas turned to Hannah. "Is everything okay there? They've not given you a babysitter have they?"

Hannah shook her head. "Addy is my friend. I'm okay mum. I promise you," she told her.

Chad nodded. She knew how she worried about Hannah. She was her daughter and living with a woman who had been known to kill if she didn't get her own way.

"You let me know if you need anything. Okay?"

"Okay."

Hannah smiled as Jamie walked into the room. He looked to her and smiled. "Hey how's your day been?" He asked.

Hannah nodded. "Yeah. Been okay. Listen. I know that things are hard. But I want us to work. If you want that too?" She said.

Jamie sat with her and smiled. He kissed her head. "Whatever happens, you and I are going to make it work. For the baby."

Hannah smiled. Just hoping things would work the way she hoped.
