Yimika's view
The sun rose up. The colour reminded me of freshly grown sunflowers I used to pick when I was a little kiddiewink. Yes, it might be weird calling myself that, but...It's fun!
My eyes fell on the glowing, neon sun. I quietly sighed in relief and awe, as I opened my eyes again. It was a new day.
Ring! Ding! Ring! Ding!My alarm screamed and shrieked. My eyes widen with a shocked expression. I suddenly screamed on what I saw on the calendar.
'First day of school!'
"Wha- EH?!" I shrieked in fear and panic, "I'm gonna be late!!" I panicked more as I stumbled off my bed. I ran to the closet and quickly got changed into my uniform. I then dashed to the bathroom at full speed and snatched the hairbrush off the table. I stroked my hair like a million times and rushed downstairs, shouting for my mum.
"MUUUM!! Why did you not wake me up?! It's my first day of sch-"
I suddenly saw a note on the table. It had the handwriting of my mum. I could recognise it easily."Dear Yimika, I have work today. So, take care of yourself. I have already organised all the books you need for today. I have also prepared your favourite taiyaki for lunch. Stay safe! Mum"
My expression shifted to one of happiness and relief, "Heh, thanks mum. I won't let you down."
The note needed with a cute fairy sticker. They used to be my favourite. I remember I used to collect them... I had a full collection!I smiled as I took the lunchbox of taiyaki and dashed out the door.
