I arrived at school as my smile almost went from ear to ear. My short hair flew in the wind whilst I took a close up look at the building.
I suddenly heard a voice behind me. A pair of hands covered my eyes as I gasped.
"Guess who!~" the voice said. It had a very enthusiastic tone to it.
"Um... wait. Is that you, Kanna?!" I would say in shock. I haven't seen my childhood best friend ever since elementary!
"Hehe, yeah! It's me Yimika! Hi!~" Kanna would say in happiness. She hugged my tight, her arms were warm.. she would always jump hug me all the time. But, I was like a parent to her since she had asthma.
"Now, now... careful, Kanna. You might get too excited and have an asthma attack."
"Oh come on Yimika. I am careful! I can be more mature and sensible myself since I'm one year older than you!"
I sighed in slight annoyance.
"Yeah, yeah I get that. You may be 15 but you still need to take care of yourself!"
"Fiiiine... I promise." Kanna would hold up her pinky finger as she giggled.
"Haha, you better keep that promise."
Kanna is so nice... so sweet and friendly. She doesn't hesitate to share her interests! When will it be the right time to say I love her?
"Hellooo? Yimika? YIMIKA!!" Kanna would snap her fingers in my face as she yelled. I was startled.
"Wah! O-Oh, sorry. Got lost in my thoughts for a while.. hehe."
"Are you okay?! Any headaches? How are you feeling?" Kanna's sudden worry surprised me a bit.
"Woah, woah, chill out! I'm fine. We better get to class."
"Okay! See you at break!~" Kanna waved at me before she ran to her class.
I wanna tell her how I feel. But I don't have the courage to. I might have to wait a little while until I can!
