The group huddled together, gasping for breath as they reached the shore of the small island. Panic still lingered in their hearts, their minds reeling from the inexplicable events of the night. They counted heads to ensure everyone was present, and relief washed over them when they confirmed that nobody was missing this time.

Beth, still trembling, clung to Gina for support. "Did you see that? The fire just went out, and then the wind..."

Gina nodded, her own voice shaky. "I saw it too. It's like something is playing with us, toying with our fears."

Betty glanced at Stan, who had been leading the way with the torch. "Stan, did you see anything when the fire went out?"

Stan frowned, trying to recollect the moment. "I...I'm not sure. It happened so fast, but it felt like something blew the fire out, and then the wind came from the direction of that strange music."

"Music?" Nancy's eyes widened. "What kind of music?"

Eric, who had been at the rear of the group, stepped forward. "It was faint, like some kind of haunting melody. I couldn't pinpoint the exact source, but it sent chills down my spine."

Betty's mind raced with possibilities. "Maybe it's some kind of supernatural presence, trying to lead us away from something. But what could it be?"

Rio spoke up, his voice full of unease. "Maybe the smoke we saw earlier has something to do with it. Should we investigate further?"

"We can't just ignore it," Betty said, determined. "Let's stay together and approach the area cautiously. If we sense any danger, we retreat immediately."

The group agreed, understanding that they couldn't simply abandon the search for Betty's parents. As they regrouped and slowly made their way back toward the center of the island, they kept a watchful eye on their surroundings. The moonlight had returned, casting eerie shadows across the sandy shore.

Approaching the area where they had seen the smoke, the group noticed an odd arrangement of stones forming a circle. In the middle of the circle was a small fire pit, but the fire had now completely extinguished. The smoke they had spotted earlier had dissipated, leaving behind an air of mystery.

As they cautiously surveyed the surroundings, Beth gasped. "Look! There's something on the ground!"

In the dim light, they saw peculiar symbols drawn in the sand, forming intricate patterns around the fire pit. The symbols seemed ancient and mystical, adding to the unsettling aura of the place.

"Could this be some kind of ritual site?" Nancy wondered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Gina looked around, her eyes darting nervously. "I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about this. We should get out of here."

Just as the group began to back away, a faint sound echoed through the stillness. It was the haunting music again, growing louder and more distinct. It seemed to come from all directions, surrounding them like a sinister choir.

The panic from before returned, and the group ran back toward the shore, not daring to look back. The island seemed to hold secrets far beyond their comprehension, and they were determined to escape its grasp.

Reaching the shore, they found Rio and Beth waiting anxiously. Beth continued counting heads to ensure everyone was accounted for, her fear still evident. But as they took a moment to catch their breath, they realized that Natasha was nowhere to be seen.

The realization hit them hard, and fear gripped their hearts once again. Natasha had vanished just like Betty's parents, and the night grew darker and more malevolent with each passing moment.
