Betty's group, still reeling from the night's horrors, decided to split up to search for Bella and Stan. Betty was determined to find her little sister, but Rio insisted on finding Beth and Stan first, believing they were in more immediate danger.

As they divided into two teams, Betty went with Eric and Nancy, while Rio took Ben and Gina with him. The woods seemed to grow darker and more foreboding with each step they took, and the tension in the air was palpable.
