Narrator:
As Sky thought that Lottie had been settling in well they had decided this weekend was time for her to tackle the Media Pit. The Media Pit is known by the chaos that occurs inside during the all important post race interviews, despite this Lottie was excited by the opportunity to question a variety of drivers while avoiding being on screen herself. For once she wasn't being consumed by pannic.

This weekend was Monza, arguably one of the most iconic tracks in Formular 1, as well as a Mclaren favourite. Due to the prestige behind the race Lottie had been put more into the background as former drivers such as Jenson Button were working with the core crew for the grand prix. As her first appearance last week had caused a stir in the media, the break from screen was welcomed as she hated the articles which were trying to tell the world of her personal life. Another result of her appearance was her instagram had blown up with followers, hate, love and best of all a follow from the one and only Lando Norris, which was followed by an exciting gossip between Karis and Lottie.

Lottie Pov:
So far all I had done at monza was computer work, whether it was working on articles or listening to interviews. It hadn't been too bad tho, I just missed being in on the action, the thrill of it all, but not the attention.Today it changes, well in ten minutes really, as today it's my turn to interview, even though only my name and voice will be seen and well heard.

Two of us are here from sky to interview in the media pit, myself and Natalie, meaning I should get to interview 10 drivers. I know I have already interviewed Lando however I really wanna speak to him and just be in his presence so i'm only aiming for 9 new drivers.
"2 minutes" Someone from F1 tv shouts, making my breathing turn heavy.
"Don't let the nerves get to you, they just mean you care about doing well" Natalie reassured me and smiled, I am incredibly grateful for the support from everyone at sky, especially the women, it means the world.
"Thanks Nat, I think once I start talking they will just fade away, it's mainly the anticipation" I find it really easy to talk to Natalie or Nat as she tells me to call her away from the camera.
"The anticipation is the worst, but don't worry by the end of the year it won't bother you, you learn to embrace it"
"Hopefully sooner, or maybe even by tomorrow" she laughs at my joke just as the F1 tv person tells us that the drivers are arriving. It's go time.

One by one followed by their media representative the drivers casually strolled in, all in a mixture of team wear and fire proofs with their race suits around their waist. As Lando walked in we made eye contact causing me to look down at my feet and smile. When I look back up as he is being ushered to the German crew by who I assume is Charlotte, one of the media team at Mclaren.

My first interview is with Alex Albon, williams current number 1 driver.
"Hello Alex" I decide to start the interview off simple.
"Hello" He responds with a smile, I discovered when being breifed this morning that media people don't use their names in the Media Pit.
"Are you happy with your results from Monza?" Alex should be, he had qualified P3 and only dropped to P4 as the red bull is something else on the straights if you're not a Mclaren.
"I mean I can't not, it's been the best weekend this season, I can't argue with topping FP1 and qualifying 3rd was just incredible, it's really given us hope about the future of the car" You could tell how genuine he was being.
"What are your thoughts on the current dominance of the top two cars of the straights?" So far all the podiums this season had been mclaren and redbull filled due to their incredible speed on the straights, to the point where if you were unfortunate enough to find them behind you in drs range you knew you were going to loose a place.
"I mean I can't really complain too much as we wouldn't want any change if that was us in the position of redbull and mclaren, so instead I choose to see it as motivation, one day we will be on par or even better on the straights and I am sure everyone back in the factory and garage agrees." Alex really is a glass half full person as I read in all of the articles.
"That's a great way to see it, you can't go wrong with that, well thank you for your time and good luck for the next race" I had been given the signal to wrap the interview up.
"Thank you as well, good luck with your other interviews" What a kind soul.
