Chapter 8

Lottie pov:
I'm stood infront of his door shitting myself. Of course it is when I'm here that I get nervous. Why do I have to be so bloody nervous! Sometimes I hate myself. I must have made a noise or accidentally thought out loud because the door infront of me opens.
"You ok there Lottie?" His voice makes me freeze as I realise he's properly seen through the spy glass in the door me standing there debating my whole life.
"Yeahhh I'm good, you gonna invite me in?" I gotta play this off cool, I already feel too embarrassed.
"Welcome to my humble abode of a hotel room" As he spoke he moved to the side outreaching his arm to present the room. It was in no way humble, infact it seemed as though it was twice the size of mine, I guessed it was a suite.
"I wouldn't call this humble" I tease as I walk in.
"Always best to act it tho aye" He isn't wrong. To my surprise on the bed there has been blankets and snacks set up, he's planned this.
"I thought we could have a little movie night?" He shyly asks, it's cute seeing him shy.
"Of course, but only if we can watch let's be cops, it's the best comedy action of all time" I could see the relief on his face as a smile emerged.
"Max recommended me that movie but I never got round to watching it" he said sitting down on the bed.
"Well now you will see what you've been missing out on" I say joining him. After I speak he just sits there looking at me, his eyes inspecting each aspect of my body and face, for once I don't want to hide away.
"You're beautiful you know" A warm fuzzy feeling fills me whole, I smile at the floor again blushing hard. "I'm being deadly serious, it's a unique kind of beauty you have" If this boy doesn't like me back i'm going to die of embarrassment.
"Thank you" I speak softly "You don't look to shabby urself, especially in your fire proofs" I shoot him a cheeky smile.
"You haven't even seen the best of that yet" He returns the cheeky grin as that warmth downstairs returns."Pinterest might give you a preview, the girls love me on there" After he teases he slightly nudges me.
"I see i'm the mysterious one here mr" I nudge him back but instead of getting me back he pulls me in for a hug full of warmth and security, hugs don't normally feel this good.

"I hope you like the snacks, don't worry if I got all the wrong things" that innocent shyness had returned. On the bed lay sweet popcorn, skittles and twirl bites, what I always buy for movie nights with Karis, more instagram stalking?
"You made a good choice, I wonder where you got the idea from?" I tease.
A tiny bit of doubt creeps into my head as today I didn't want to eat much, I had over eaten yesterday, and snacks are a lot of calories.
"You already know don't you?" he sighed
"Maybe" she smiled
"Yes I might have stalked your instagram to find out what you like" He looked down as he spoke, he's embarrassed.
"Lan, wait can I call you that" Shit it just slipped out, what if he hates being called that, what if ur was too soon.
"Yeah call me what ever you want, L" (pronounced El) he speaks in a soft tone. My god I love the nicknames.
"It's really cute you deep dived my insta, but don't feel like you have to, after all it doesn't show off all of my life" Most of my instagram is a facade to make people think I don't have problems.
"I mean I had to try find out some stuff, what if you had a boyfriend, or were a lesbian,other wise I might have creeped you out" He talks like he's trying to tease me but i can see the mix of nerves and seriousness he's hiding.
"Maybe I am gay, I could have just hid it, might have thought this was friends hanging out" I play along to try tease him, wait what if this is just friends hanging out.
"Wait are u actually, I don't wanna make u uncomfortable or anything" he looks so worried in his eyes.
"No no no, respect to them all but unfortunately I'm attracted to men, what a shame" Relief washes over his face, I think he does liek me then, I don't know though.

We are about half way through the movie. So far we have shared endless laughter and slowly Lando has been moving closer. I've only eaten a little but he hasn't noticed luckily, or at least I think so.
"I see what you mean I have been missing out" Lando whispered in my ear sending a sensation through my body.
"I told you so, if you didn't already know I'm a movie expert" I whisper back.
"I can tell" As he speaks he takes my hand in his and puts the other over my shoulder, wait we are hugging. Eeeeeee!
I lean my head into his neck and I can smell his Cologne, it's an addicting sent I have to say. I start to forget about the movie as i'm enfactuated by Lando, his touch is just so comforting, he's been slowing moving his thumb across my palm, my nerves are on fire but in the best way possible.
"Tell me a little something about you, but you can't have told anyone else" He's still whispering.
"Sometimes I wonder if Love is real, or if it's just an illusion the majority of people believe" It just spills out, like my mind is telling me I can tell this person I barley know anything that I have ever thought or felt.
"I think that love is something you learn, but that can easily be forgotten or overlooked as when in love we are at our most vulnerable, everyone either embraces it or pushes it away" His words sit in my mind, as I wonder if I push away Love, as underneath it all I'm just a fragile little girl, missing the love of her father. "I have been lucky enough to be brought up with people who embrace love and enjoy teaching it to others, and so I wish to do the same, I wanna teach someone how to love, wanna open them up to it's beauty" he smiles as he speaks and I can see how his version of love differs so to mine however just hearing him say it makes me want to believe what he says, maybe he can teach me to love.
"That sounds beautiful Lan, I hope you get to fulfill that dream, I truly do" I smile at him as I had realised how kind of a soul the man I am hugging has, away from the fame I have met him through, he is just a man who wants to make others happy and show them love, I deeply admire that.

Narrator:
After calming in his touch by the end of the movie Lottie had fallen into a peaceful sleep which Lando didn't wish to wake her from. Delicately he removed himself from under her to clear the bed of snacks and tuck her in. He debated giving her a shirt to sleep in but felt intrusive removing her clothes, instead he took off his too leaving him in grey joggers and returned to the bed to cuddles up with her. He too fell asleep after a short while, it was just them together laying peacefully in embrace, and maybe not for the only time.

Their spark had now been well and truly ignited, with a connection bewteeen them growing. Lottie hasn't realised it but slowly she's falling for Lando, he is fulfilling his dreams and teaching her how to love.

Lottie pov:
I wake up in shock, i'm in someone's arms. A pannic starts to brew until I realise what's happened. I'd falling asleep during the movie. I see the clock it's 6 am, my flight is at 1 I need to get to my room. It saddens me to have to leave him here, leave his touch, but I have to get home, and that means catching my flight.
Slowly and carefully I shift it of his hold, my skin feel wrong not to be in it. To make sure he doesn't think i've ditched I leave him a text explaning my departure, before collecting my things and going. I'm in a state of shock, I fell asleep with Lando.

As soon as I reach my room I text Karis. Luck is on my side as she's awake, so I just had to call her.
"Heyyy Kar"
"Heyy L"
"How come ur up at this time, it's 5 am at home"
"Pulled an all nighter writing, final draft is due on wednesday, still gotta finish the final chapters"
"Oooo how's it going, I can't wait to read it when it's finished, I already know I'm going to love it" I always love Karis's writing.
"Pretty well I have to say, just got over some writers block"
"Amazingggg"
"Why did you call?"
"Sooooo I have a story to tell" I smile shyly, I've been smiling so much recently.
"No way, more Lando stuff, I saw the interview of him in the media pit, very flirtatious I must say"
"Well I was the one interviewing him"
"Oh my god no way, I couldn't find the name of the person but of course it was you, omg L"
"At the end he secretly gave me a note saying to meet in his hotel room, so I went"
"No way that's soo adorable"
"He had looked at my instagram again and bought all our movie snack regulars for a movie night, during which he called me beautiful and we freaking hugged"
"Yes L i'm so happy for you, this is incredible, you're making me jealous"
"That's not even the best part, we spoke of what love means to us before I fell asleep in his arms, when I woke up this morning we were still hugging, it was just sad I had to leave to pack for my flight"
"Stop it, Stop it, why are you to literally perfect, I can't take it anymore"
I could see Karis had gotten up and was jumping around her apartment, it was heart warming to see her so happy for me.
