While the both of you waited for Crowley to get back with his coffee, you two decided to participate in an activity you both enjoyed.
The activity being playing chess, eating snacks (in this case it was a fruit board), and gossiping about people, whether you both knew or only one of you knew them, either way is was such fun. The person on today's subject of gossip was Catherine the Great, the Former Empress of Russia.
"I tell you Doll, she found herself pregnant with Gregory Orlov's child even tho still being married to Peter and she then began to seclude herself from society, not wanted to be seen in public while pregnant."
You tried to focus on the game but the Tea was just too hot at this point, but then you remembered something about Catherine that made you place your Rook in the wrong position, leaving your Knight wide opened, but you honestly didn't care.
"Did you know Babes, that she had a whole collection of X-rated furniture?"
This made Aziraphele put his piece down and his ears perk up.
"She did?"
He asked out of pure disbelief, as you began to nod your head vigorously, pulling yourself closer to the conversation as if she was still alive and you were trying to hide this information from invisible people in the shop.
"She did."
Seeing that Aziraphele had already picked up and put down his piece, meaning that it was your turn you grinned at the idea of beating him, which didn't happen often.
"I'm telling you, chairs with naked men carved into the arms, chairs with women's legs spread open and even them doing some vulgar things to the man. And the tables! Oh goodness."
You said as Aziraphele's eyes widened both wanted and not wanted to know about the tables.
"What about the tables?"
He asked, immediately regretting the question as he saw your expression change.
"She had a table that instead of being held up by legs it was held up by penises and instead of a lovely delicate trim around the edges it was more penises, as well as breasts, and naked women's bodies."
You said as Aziraphele's mouth hung open, which it normal did with vulgar topics.
Just as you finished your sentence the door rang open, a tall man with fiery red hair, and sunglasses came in.
He was tad talker and bit thinner then you had previously imagined, but everything else was exactly as how Aziraphele had described him.
Prominent cheek bones and jawline, a rather expressionless face with a snake tattoo on the right side of his face, which wasn't quite noticeably at first glance, a long neck with broad shoulders that suited him perfectly and a watch that he wore on his left hand.
Aziraphele smiled at the man and you did the same right before putting Aziraphele's King into checkmate.
"Checkmate."
You whispered as you smiled at Crowley who made his way over to Aziraphele and sat down on the arm of his chair.
"You seem to have lost Angel."
Crowley said which amazed you at the way Aziraphele can describe a voice and get it so accurate, but then you remembered this wasn't any voice it was Crowley's.
"It's nice to meet you, Aziraphele has told me lots about you."
You said with a smile as Crowley began to delicately laugh.
"Talk about me a lot do you Angel?"
Crowley asked as Aziraphele smiled and turned his head the other way, which had a light dusting of pink spread across his cheeks and nose.
"You must be Y/n? Angel tells me you run a shop around the corner."
His tone was pleasant and welcoming, as he set a cup of coffee in front of you, it was a hot dark roast with cream and sugar, you personally didn't care for the cream and sugar bit, but you weren't the type to turn down a gift just because it's not what you normally order.
"Oh! Thank you so much!"
You said as you took a sip, it was sweet but not bad.
"And yes, I run Fireside Foliage, just over there."
You said as you pointed, knowing your shop was impossible to see from where the three of you were sitting, but did it anyway.
"It's a seasonal shop, so I'm only open from Autumn to middle of Winter, but I really do enjoy it. I have these homemade candles I like to make and sell, as well as fragrances. It's a perfect a little hobby if you ask me."
Crowley listened intently as you described the things you did and liked to do, it brought a smile to your face as well as his. You oddly enough reminded him of Aziraphele in a way.
"Do you have a hobby Crowley?"
You asked as he pushed his glasses back up onto his nose and thought about the question.
'Do I have a hobby?'
He asked himself as he thought about his car, his music, and finally his plants.
"My Dear, before you answer, a word."
Aziraphele said making the statement sound almost question like as the pair stood up.
"Only be a moment Doll."
Aziraphele added with a smile as him and Crowley walked into the back room, where the conversation was severely muffled, but if you concentrated hard enough you could make out a couple of words.
You stretched your back and sighed with a smile.
"This is going great!"
You whispered to yourself as you closed your eyes, trying to make it easier to hear the two. Almost the same as turning the radio in a car to see better.
